Inverness Valley Inn became one of my and my boyfriends favorite picks for a quick getaway. The grounds are a bit rustic yet beautiful. The rooms are welcoming and very comfortable..The bed was one of the most comfortable ones I've slept in on vacation. Everything was to our liking with the exception of the weather, not horrible but a bit blustery... More

We arrived after long drive from Yosemite and nobody around but we found our chalet and settled in. With nobody around but deer for company we found the chalet clean spacious and very comfortable and the gas stove gave a great ambience on a cold evening. We loved it and the laid back feel of the area though i suspect... More

This was our second stay at the Inverness Valley Inn. We stayed for four nights, and greatly enjoyed it. Great location for frequent trips to the beach. Our kids loved the mini-farm, and we particularly appreciated the time the innkeeper took with us (45 minutes or so) to show us the animals, including allowing our boys to feed the sheep,... More

Spent New Years 2008-2009, our 20th anniversary (we are a lesbian couple ages 56 and 73) in the Garden Cottage only a few steps from the pool and hot tub. Had been here several times before the new owners, Alden and Leslie, took over. The changes and improvements were very noticeable and quite welcome. The new gas heaters and docking... More

For our 50th anniversary, we gathered together our children and grandchildren from all over the country for a week in the country, and chose the Inverness Valley Inn for its proximity to the Pt Reyes coastline, and its selection of comfortable cabins where we could all be close, but not on top of one another. What we got was so much... More

inverness Valley Inn is a unique combination of quiet getaway, petting farm and base camp for exploring northern Marin County, located adjacent to the starkly beautiful Pt. Reyes National Seashore protected area and the Tomales Bay. Well appointed A-frame suites include kitchenette, cozy fireplaces and private decks in the middle of 15 acres of walking paths, with a full menagerie... More

My fiance and I brought our two small dogs with us to the Inverness Valley Inn over the holidays. I love that we had our own kitchenette and the patio was cute and had a bbq. Inverness is a short walk away and we picked up food at the grocery store to cook. The restaurants in the town are also... More

We just stayed at the Inverness Valley Inn for the first time and had a great experience. The grounds are wonderful and include two pens: one with chickens and another with llama, alpaca and goats. The innkeepers could not be more charming and although they were fully booked and understaffed because of holiday scheduling, they found the time to welcome... More

We have had pleasure in staying at the Inverness Valley Inn several times over the past few years and so look forward to another visit soon. We have watched, fascinated, the way it has developed a distinct identity, unique in the area, growing greener each visit. Staying there makes the Point Reyes National Seashore Park all come together. Be sure... More

My 7-year old daughter asked if we could skip her usual birthday party so she could spend four days at the Inverness Valley Inn this past July. She wakes up excited at seven in the morning and runs to see the innkeeper feed the chickens and goats. She knows their names and draws pictures when we are back home. Needless... More
