The Tomales Bay Resort is a nice getaway location in West Marin. We enjoyed our room over the water with a fireplace (Duraflame logs only) that made it cozy at night. It was quiet and not very busy this time of year. The staff was helpful and accommodating with extra requests for blankets and such. We did have to call... More

On Wednesday we reserved a family room for Saturday night - on Thursday my father-in-law had a heart attack in Boston - on Friday morning I called to cancel our reservation explaining why I was taking my wife to the airport and they said no no no: tough luck for you - we have a seven day cancellation policy and... Dear Philip, First off, I hope that your father-in-law is recovering well. I wanted to write you expressing that our front desk staff did offer to change your reservation date within a gracious time frame. After declining changing your travel date, I spoke with you and lowered your charge to a flat $75 cancellation fee which is much lower than... More

Thanks to Trip Advisor we found this place that is in the harbor and booked room #32 an upstairs King with vaulted ceilings and a deck with a view right over the water. We woke up to a king tide so the water was higher than ever. There were dozens of birds on the bay diving and eating. It was... More

My husband and I stayed here for a quick weekend getaway. We had a room with a fireplace and a view of the water. It was very cozy and romantic. The location is perfect for exploring the Point Reyes seashore. We were able to make a trip to the lighthouse to catch the sunset. In the morning, we went to... More

We wanted a romantic evening away, and were very pleasantly surprised with our stay here. I ended up choosing TBR because it was one of the only places with no 2 night minimum. I was worried that since it was less expensive, it wouldn't be as nice. I was also worried that the place seems very family friendly, which is... More

Our stay at Tomales Bay Resort was at the end of our vacation and we couldn't have had a better ending. We chose room number 32-King Suite and it was absolutely beautiful. Immaculate and comfortable. We were greeted by Ashley and she was adorable and very helpful. She guided us to local restaurants and shared information about the area. Actually,... More

This was just a wonderful place to stay We had booked it before there was a heat wave which hit Marin last week... It was cooler there. The room we had was wonderful with a little nook and a twin bed in it. Ours was a queen bed. So quiet you could hear the little waves lapping at the small... More

Tamales Bay Resort is located on the water edge, close to excellent trails and beaches in the Pt Reyes National Park. The rooms are spacious, nicely remodeled, equipped with flat screen TVs, Keurig coffee makers and small fridges, some with kitchens. Kayak rentals are available right next to the resort. For breakfast or desert one can drive about 5 miles... More

This place is great. We were right or steps away from the water. #17. Ground floor. Someone else had stated room 17 so I requested that one. There is 16 next door and closer and 15 with slightly more money with two picture windows. All on ground floor. The room we had with front and side entrances which I liked.... More

My wife and I were visiting from Chicago and decided to stay in the Pt. Reyes/Tomales Bay area for two nights. We enjoyed a clean, well appointed room in a nice setting overlooking the bay, and our talks with Lynn, the manager, who was very helpful and friendly. There was no restaurant at the hotel. Pt. Reyes Cafe a few... More
