Got to our room...just remodeled! Gorgeous! It was so calm and serene on the Bay...The room had a King bed, bit of a kitchenette off to one side, fridge, microwave, huge flat screen tv...a thousand channels :) Real fireplace was a bonus! Super clean. Tom who greeted us is just comical and a charmer. Just what we needed after a... More

Although a bit "dated", this motel type resort turned to be out a good option for us, conveniently located to visit key destinations of the Point Reyes National Seashore and other area activities like kayaking in the bay (rentals right next door). Other, higher rated accommodation in the area was all booked so we chose this option as our "fall... More

Just spent 3 days here. Location is a beauty but the walls are paper thin. Had a back patio with a great view. Owners are beyond pleasant and most accommodating. Need better toiletries for $200+ per night. The coffee was just awful, bring your own. Station House cafe about 4 miles away was a wonderful place.

This place has probably seen better days, but the prices are very reasonable and the area is very chilled. The room was clean, although the kitchenette was dated and the pool was pretty funky (we didnt go in - but it is . The sunset views were very nice and the staff was pleasant. There weren't many people staying when... More

We made reservations for three separate rooms for a get together for 8 people from July 9 - 13, 2014. It was out first trip to Tomales Bay. My son and I had a king sized room. All 3 rooms had a tiny kitchen with utensils provided; a fridge, bathroom with a shower, chairs in the back patio, and a... More

We stayed here for two night in July and it was just what we wanted. The room (16) was had a queen bed and you could see the bay and the (hill/mountains?) from the window. There was a nice breeze at night, which was good because there is no air conditioning (there was heat if you went during the winter).... More

I just returned from Point Reyes where we stayed for two nights at Tomales Bay Resort. While "resort" is a misnomer, it is a pleasant place to stay on the west side of Tomales Bay near Inverness. The room we had was spacious and clean and had a view of the Bay. We arrived after 11:00 p.m. so the key... More

Three adults and two rooms, a motel like structure, but the rooms are clean, spacious and very well maintained. The location is ideal being right on the water. The traffic from the road close by closes down by the time you are getting ready to go to bed and is not an issue. There is a feeling that the business... More

We just spent a week driving down the coast from Oregon to San Francisco, and this was one of our favorite stops. We set out to avoid chain motels and the bigger cities (Eureka, Fort Bragg, or San Rafael) where standard lodging choices are found. Instead, we stayed in indy motels (and one B&B). We spent 2 nights at Tomales... More

Stayed here only because we needed a place to stay headed north. Not horrible but it is obvious the prime was 20 years ago. Minimal upkeep of property. Restaurant closed. Breakfast was a bag with juice, milk, cereal, and juice. Don't mean to bash the place, just don't have high expectations and you'll be OK.
