I live in San Francisco and I've been coming to this place for more than 10 years. I actually really like it and will continue to come here! The staff is wonderful, great service, very reliable and safe. The main reason I'm only giving it 3 stars is that when it was the Golden Hinde it was roughly the same as... More

The place charges resort level fees but is NOT a resort! This place hadn't had a restaurant on the premises for years. They give you a bag with instant oatmeal, an apple, milk box and Cheerios and explain how you can use your coffee maker to make the oatmeal. I had a room with a kitchen but no telephone! There... We stayed here because it is the ONLY hotel in Pt Reyes area to have rooms on the water We chose the bay view rooms # 29 + 30. These rooms are at the far end of the resort and on the ground floor, very close to the "beach". We could walk out onto the deck and enjoy our glass... More

This is a great, quirky, funky place to stay. Charm it has, swanky it is not. The restaurant is still up for lease or purchase - no loss, plenty of places to grab food or eat in in the nearby villages and towns. This is more like a motel - not really a resort, either, although it could be if... More

We were happy with our experience at this hotel. The price was reasonable ($136) for king bed and included bag breakfast with cereal, milk, juice and apple. Kayaking and canoe rental next door. Easy access to Point Reyes Station. Amazing view of the bay - plenty of outside seating and picnic tables to enjoy the view.

This behaviour of the management at this so called resort was appalling. The pleasant man on duty when we left gave us a discount because we were so unhappy at the lack of facilities. He signed our receipt to this effect but the manager then deducted the full amount without our agreement. This place is not a resort and offers... More

Got to our room...just remodeled! Gorgeous! It was so calm and serene on the Bay...The room had a King bed, bit of a kitchenette off to one side, fridge, microwave, huge flat screen tv...a thousand channels :) Real fireplace was a bonus! Super clean. Tom who greeted us is just comical and a charmer. Just what we needed after a... More

Although a bit "dated", this motel type resort turned to be out a good option for us, conveniently located to visit key destinations of the Point Reyes National Seashore and other area activities like kayaking in the bay (rentals right next door). Other, higher rated accommodation in the area was all booked so we chose this option as our "fall... More

Just spent 3 days here. Location is a beauty but the walls are paper thin. Had a back patio with a great view. Owners are beyond pleasant and most accommodating. Need better toiletries for $200+ per night. The coffee was just awful, bring your own. Station House cafe about 4 miles away was a wonderful place.
