While the "resort" itself looks somewhat dated and not very lively (for a "resort"), the second floor's rooms of one of its building which is located next to the bay, on the South end of the resort, are truly outstanding. They are quite (too?) pricey (approx. $250) but so nice (read my room notes below). We just spend 2 nights... More

Our room was around $130 for two adults, but with two kids under 14, they jacked up the price to $150/nite. The room had two double beds anyway so I don't get why they charged us more. Not a value at all for what you got. The room was fairly clean except for the mold growing under the caulking in... More

Lots of places in the area were sold out but we were lucky to find a room here. The price was reasonable, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. They were nice enough to give us an early check-in so our young child could nap and she had a futon on the floor. Wifi was spotty.

This was a nice place, clean and on the water. It was close to town and Point Reyes Park is nearby. The room was decent and had everything I needed. The people at the desk where nice and helpful. The view from the room was lovely.

I live in San Francisco and I've been coming to this place for more than 10 years. I actually really like it and will continue to come here! The staff is wonderful, great service, very reliable and safe. The main reason I'm only giving it 3 stars is that when it was the Golden Hinde it was roughly the same as... More

The place charges resort level fees but is NOT a resort! This place hadn't had a restaurant on the premises for years. They give you a bag with instant oatmeal, an apple, milk box and Cheerios and explain how you can use your coffee maker to make the oatmeal. I had a room with a kitchen but no telephone! There... We stayed here because it is the ONLY hotel in Pt Reyes area to have rooms on the water We chose the bay view rooms # 29 + 30. These rooms are at the far end of the resort and on the ground floor, very close to the "beach". We could walk out onto the deck and enjoy our glass... More

This is a great, quirky, funky place to stay. Charm it has, swanky it is not. The restaurant is still up for lease or purchase - no loss, plenty of places to grab food or eat in in the nearby villages and towns. This is more like a motel - not really a resort, either, although it could be if... More

We were happy with our experience at this hotel. The price was reasonable ($136) for king bed and included bag breakfast with cereal, milk, juice and apple. Kayaking and canoe rental next door. Easy access to Point Reyes Station. Amazing view of the bay - plenty of outside seating and picnic tables to enjoy the view.
