Do NOT stay here!! This is not a family friendly place. They have loud music playing all night long in the outside bar area and the houses directly behind the hotel party all night!!! The carpets are gross the bathroom tub clogs with water. The parking is a joke. They double park everyone. When we were leaving a couple had... More

this is not a family place, I think they market them self for the European back packers, it is noisy and there is a construction going on,so one will wake up with hammer and other type of noises,if you have to stay don't stay in the first floor it stinks because of the dumpiness, they have expensive domestic beers it is... I booked in august 2008 for 3 nights and all I expected was a bed. I was in a room with other 15 people. I was travelling alone and I had just a little bag, so it was ok for me. I met a guy just in front of the hostel and we had a drink at the hall on... More

Desperate when a late flight made us miss our bus home from LAX - all hotels booked under the price of $250, we chose this one. Met some great people! The place looked like a 1950's Miami Beach silk plant, blow-up animals, time warp, Christmas lighted dirty dump. Felt disgusting getting under the covers. Floor (carpet) was grimy and sticky).... In response to the hotels request to review them on trip advisor: First of all the 'shuttle' that picks you up from LAX looks like it's been taken from a dump, it was running really late, I waited for over an hour! As if that wasn't enough as you pull up to the "hotel" it clearly says " California adventurer... More

We were not given the room we reserved and paid for ahead of time. The hotel staff promised to change this but didn't until the 3rd day of our stay. Staff was not friendly overall. Air conditioning and TV didn't work but we were told there were no other rooms. Toilet didn't work initially but that was addressed. The bathroom... More

The rooms are run down. The 'suite' that we stayed in smelt like an overflowing ashtray. We found the place to be grubby in the extreme! For backpackers, this 'hotel' would be adequate. For any people looking for a few creature comforts, please look elsewhere.

The hostel/hotel is very close to LAX and has a 24 hour free shuttle making it a great layover hotel before leaving or transiting LA. Pros: Large rooms; Pool; Bars; Restaurant/lounge; Free Shuttle; Free WIFI; Free activities; and Close to LAX. Cons: Some staff lack customer service skills, esp front desk; Location is a little rough; Some dodgy looking locals... More

Absolutely horrible experience. Worst ever. No parking; had to park on the street; bad neighborhood; horrible customer service; not enough people at the desk; line out the door . . . etc. etc. etc. Even though I booked and paid for this room in advance, I chose to leave rather than endure this rat-hole.
