Given the airport shuttle was not quite as 'fresh' as most of the others, and as emblazoned as 'Backpackers' we were a little unsure of what to expect. Turned out the Tradewinds / LA Adventurer caters to both markets. Twin bedroom suite, TV, fridge/mini bar (no coffee in room) and whilst a little aged, certainly clean. Bathroom was tight and... The location is questionable. Driving into property off street was confusing because of all cars parking for shuttle service to Airport. The room was so dirty I was afraid to use the toilet or take shower in the rust ring drain tub. The bed was low to ground and very hard. The good news is I was only there for... More

service is terrible. except the cleaning ladies. No parking and when I asked the lady she said you double park give them a key to be able to move your car. Then I responded back telling her we have a rental and what happens if something happens. She said it never happens then just ignored me as if I wasn't... More

This was the single worst case of customer service that I have ever encountered. The property was horrible enough but the front office staff and the valet were all prime examples of how to NOT engage the public. It was bad enough that every other person walking in and out of that motel looked as if they were on probation,... More

I booked a two queen bed room. When I got there to check in there was paramedics showing up because one of the hotel guests over dosed on drugs and was unconscious on the pool table. There was no where for me to park so the lady/thing at the front desk told me to double park and they would call... More

Not an attractive place to visit with families especially young children. Cheap room rates attract backpackers & single tourists. Break-fast included is only a MUFFIN & a COFFEE! Worth if you're planning to stay only 1 night.

We were in LA for a family member's graduation. We had already gotten a rental from the airport but It was quite a treat to find out that they provide free transportation to the beach and to the airport. They also have onsite car rentals but $35/day is a little high for my budget. However, We did use their shuttle... More

Roaches in the rooms! On the walls. Hiding on the rack in the closet. No screens on the bathroom windows so its open season! Had to choose between running the AC or closing the blinds to darken the room. Couldn't get the wifi way down at end of 2nd floor.

Never been to a backpackers hostel before so this was definitely an experience! Since we weren't backpackers, we had two full suitcases each so it was rather annoying being given a room on the second floor... with no lift... but what can you do when you miss your flight and need accommodation at the last minute! It was clean so... More

I understand why some people gives bad review to this hotel, altough it is only a point of view. This hotel was extremely cheap for 4 people in double suite comparing to what else you can get within the LAX range. I thought hotel would be either in catastrophic shape, or room cannot be suite and there will be really... More
