We rented Room 11 at the Sand Castle Inn on the night of 28 December 2013. You folks have a great location there in Imperial Beach. However, our experience in the room we rented was far from satisfactory. Here are some of the more serious problems we encountered in our stay. a) The faucet unit in the bathroom shower needs... i stayed at sand castle inn last year and was pleased with the price and location, the room was rather small, the bathroom ergonomically wrong but being able to see the ocean from my room was a plus. i have just returned from the same hotel and am unhappy to report that the quality has gone down quite a bit,... Waking up and going to bed with the sound of the Ocean waves was amazing!! Also amazing is this location is kid friendly a must for me having 4 kids. Our room was in the back (118) the kids were able to play and run round around safely. This is truly like living an a apartment complex and that’s a... More

Being across from the park and the beach was the best part. The pizza parlor next door is very delicious! It's quiet at night which made it very relaxing. We felt extremely comfortable and the rooms were perfect. The staff was always friendly. Price of the stay was perfect. I will definitely always stay here when I come to visit!

Do not be fooled by photos. Everything about this place was wrong. The pails had garbage, no toilet paper, no hangars, no soap, lights in bathroom didnt work, TV didnt work, the window couldnt close, FILTHY DIRTY DISGUSTING, when I told the old man at the front desk we were leaving he replied "Si, Entiento" I understand. Very sad that... More

We were very disappointed with the quality of this motel. We have no idea how previous reviews were so positive. Initially, our family of four had booked a one bedroom apartment. When we arrived, we found it to be extremely dirty and run down. A layer of dust covered everything we saw. The vents were so dirty, we were afraid... More

Really, the only reason this hotel is getting a 2 rating is because the location is excellent. So, if you're planning on spending very little time in the hotel room, and most of your time out and about, it might be a perfectly fine place to stay. Overpriced for what you get, but convenient to just about anything you might... More

Perfect location, across the street from the center of Imperial Beach. Extremely friendly help. No extras. No pool, no gym, no restaurant, no tennis, bowling, spelunking, no etc. But its a local motel. Its a great place if where you want to be is Imperial Beach. I would definitely usetheir motel again.
