This place was absolutely disgusting. Whether it was the ecoli-infested ice machine, the swarm of bugs outside of the hotel door, the lack of air conditioning in the rooms, or the holes in the walls and screens. This hotel was uninhabitable. We couldn't stay even a night! more

2nd year in a row- stayed in the 1st floor suite, with 2 double beds, kitchenette, and living room... The living room has a sliding glass door that has a view of the ocean. The living room opens to a patio with tables and chairs and gas grills. We bought food at the market and made all meals in the... more

I am so glad I only stayed 1 night here. When I arrived, there was a note on the door to call a phone number to get my room key, since I had prearranged online to stay here. The man lived at this motel with bars across his motel door. It is a very shady neighborhood and people live at... more

I really enjoyed my stay. The room windows were about the only thing that was really dirty but the staff was very nice and did a great job. It was awesome to be right on the beach nd for a great rate. The cost of any other hotel on the beach is very high but not bad at all at... more

User Rating: 1 out of 5 stars by Disgusted Guest 09/26/2008 I was so excited to stay at the Seacoast Inn. I had not been to San Diego in over 6 years (although I was born and raised there). On the Seacoast Inn website they made their dump sound so wonderful, relaxing, a place where you could let all your... more

I don't know what other reviewers had so much trouble with -- unless they're expecting five-star luxury. The room was quiet, clean, the kitchenette was clean and the applances (large fridge and microwave) almost new. Windows and doors were bent or tough to open, and the sleeper sofa sagged, but the king-sized bed was comfortable. Hot water was always hot.... more

It is very difficult to sit here and come up with words to describe this place. I wouldn't really call it a hotel, but more of a place you might stay if you're 20 on spring break with a half dozen of your mates and simply need a place to stash your stuff and keep your beer cold. I was... more

We were given a recommendation by a tourist information centre. The room was filthy and the employees looked like they were going to mug us. We walked out at night to get some alcohol to take back to our room (we didn't want to eat or drink out in Imperial Beach as it was so grim) and didn't feel very... more

We stayed here once several years ago for about a hundred bucks so I knew the hotel was bad but figured I'd sacrifice quite a bit to be right on the beach. I was not prepared for how far downhill this hotel has gone, and sadly I did not listen to the other reviews. The day we traveled, there were... more

You never would know how scary this hotel is if you look at their website which appeared to be lovely. When we went to our room, it was so bad we asked for another, but it too was disgusting so we left after paying a 10.00 cancellation fee (worth it just to leave!) to find ANYWHERE else and ended up... more
