Looking for a cabin that's clean, tidy, offers all amenities and is walking distance to town? You could do a lot worse than staying at Knotty Pines. We paid $100/night for a place with two beds. Don't expect luxury but it's a lovely funky knotted pine cabin that's very clean, no smoking (yay), full refrigerator and stove and a shower... More

We quite enjoyed our cabin, one star short of excellent because of the somewhat uncomfortable bed (keep in mind I have a very bad back and if a bed isn't very firm, level with a soft topper - I have trouble). They provide coffee, filters, dish soap, dish towels, 2 burner stove, dishes, cups, glasses (including wine glasses), flatwear, and... More

Stopped in Idyllwild between job locations. Stumbled upon this quaint set of "cabins". This place is cozy and clean. It's walking distance from town center. My cabin has a kitchenette, comfortable queen bed and a nice porch on which to chill. I'll definitely stay here again.

On a whim, we drove to Idyllwild for a brief visit. We found an absolutely charming town and stayed at the Knotty Pines Cabins for the night. Our cabin was comfortable and clean with a separate kitchen and living room, all for the same price you would pay for a small hotel room! Although it was just for a night,... More

I stayed in the Sugar Pine cabin and couldn't believe they fit so much into such a small space. It defined coziness. I could feed the fire, cook breakfast, and shave without leaving the bed! I had a nice private patio and could walk into Idyllwild city center in 5 minutes.

I've been coming here for 20 years and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else (except the Foley cabin on Strawberry Creek because it sleeps 16). The owners are so nice, accommodating and helpful. You cannot go wrong.

Tried to book with these guys. First time I called I spoke to a woman who was very helpful and nice. So I found the room I wanted and called back. This time I got the Mr. Rude who said "and she told you just Saturday was ok?" I was no, not in those exact words but I asked about... More

I think the owners may be in the wrong business - hospitality is obviously not their thing. Or maybe they are just burned out or unhappy. We moved a cheap 10 cent trinket (a Salvation Army reject) from the cluttered bathroom counter and put it under the sink. After checking out the owner followed us to our car and in... More

My wife and I stayed here last year and came back again this year because we enjoyed it so much. We rented the Pine Knot cabin. It comes with a queen sized bed and a kitchenette. The furnishings are comfortable and the room was clean. If you are looking for a clean room located close to town this is the... More

Nothing compares with the quiet privacy and charm of this place!! I remember I had rented this same spot back in the 1970's ... imagine my surprise when driving through: it is still there... and owned and operated by the same family! What a delight...clean, unique, secluded and just moments away from such a great little escape as Idyllwild, Ca.... More
