A couple days of mountain beauty and peace in this welcoming retreat hit the spot! The Craftsman style Lodge is a labor of love and thoughtfulness. Rooms are spacious and functional: ours included a fireplace and TV, private deck, wifi and multiple charging outlets, and a great view of the granite mountain top. The bed was large and comfortable. Breakfast... More

I'm writing this review in the lodge's cathedral-like great room that somehow also manages to be cozy. It is an inspiring and reflective space. The lodge is pristine without a stitch of wear and tear. It is beautifully decorated in both the public and private spaces, striking the perfect balance between mountain decor and sophistication. There is not the slightest... More

My hubby & I just spent the weekend at the Grand Idyllwild. What a beautiful place to have a romantic weekend without the kids. We stayed in "Harmony" because it has a private deck. I'm so glad we had that. it was so relaxing to sit out on the deck in the comfy lounge chairs and enjoy a glass of... More

The Grand is an amazing place. Brad & Jacki poured their heart & soul into building a beautiful, spacious, luxurious lodge from the ground up. We stayed in the Suite Memory, a spacious room with king sized bed (very comfortable), comfy pillows and a large flat screen TV (in case you want to watch). A nice touch - an anniversary... More

Best thing about the Grand Idyllwild Lodge is the truly magnificent building, done in a gorgeous Craftsman style. Just being there is a balm for the soul. Excellent views, good location for the town, and we watched mama deer and her babies wandering outside in the mornings. Other aspects of our stay could have been improved. Housekeeping wasn't done one... More

My husband and I were looking for a weekend to re-charge from the hustle and bustle of living in LA. We looked to TripAdvisor like we always to and we found that The Grand Idyllwild Lodge was ranked #1. After staying here this past weekend, we see why it is ranked #1. Everything about The Grand is pure perfection. Brad... More

We love and know Idyllwild well, but are so pleased that there is finally a more luxurious option for mountain-goers. The elegance and sophistication of the lodge contrasted against the rustic beauty just out your door is a spectacular mix. While the lodge is well-appointed, it feels intimate, welcoming, and relaxed at the same time. The owners, Brad and Jacki,... More

We stayed here for two nights Labor Day weekend in the Harmony Room. It was simply stunning!! The ceiling, the furniture, the bathroom, the serenity of the whole place... and the VIEWS!! Eating breakfast was one of our favorite times, the view and peacefulness was amazing. The breakfast was very good as well. I recommend the Harmony Room, it is... More

We visited Tripadvisor to find accommodations for our brief stay in Idyllwild in late July 2014. There weren't many vacancies with the graduation events at the music academy. The Grand Idyllwild Lodge had one room for one night, and was rated highly by the website. We wanted 2 nights, but the lodge looked very nice so we booked Thursday and... More

We came to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. Brad and Jacki are not only the Innkeepers of the Grand Idyllwild Lodge they are also the designers, builders and decorators! They spared no expense in their endeavor and through their hard work and perseverance managed to make this the best Bed and Breakfast in Idyllwild. We've been coming to Idyllwild for... More
