My wife, dog, and I spent two nights at the bunkhouse. As said in previous reviews, this inn has pluses and minuses. In the end, I think the positive attributes win out. The couple that runs the property is very nice and accommodating. The room itself was small and clean, but could use updating - specifically in the shower. The... More

The price was right so my fiance stayed here for two nights while we explored Idyllwild for the first time. We loved the cabin-feel to it, and the balcony overlooking the forrest was perfect for enjoying a bottle of wine. The location is great, we just walked into town every day/night so we didn't have to drive. The walls are... More

We're just back from a two night stay at the Bunkhouse. It was very clean with a nice, woodsy vibe. Staff, especially Holly, were quite friendly and accommodating. Before booking, though, you may want to consider: It was built in the 50's with no sound insulation between rooms. The rooms are very small. Our bathroom was 3' x 5'. Breakfast... More

The Bunkhouse is a great place if you want to get away. If you want a babysitter for your kids, dog park, theme park rides, a pool, TV, etc. then this isn't for you. This is the place you go when you've had enough of that stuff. The rooms are are clean, you can prepare a sandwich, make coffee, stroll... More

We came with our son, his friend, and our dog. The rooms were very small, the heater noisy, the walls too thin, the shower was like a camp shower, the 1 positive were the scones, they were delicious. I would never stay here again.

We got "that" deal through Amazon local, and our stay was all right! Cozy room - yes, definitely old style, but came with frig, 2-burner cooktop (which we did not need/use), kitchen sink with dishes, utensils, soap etc, mini-coffee maker, coffee, sugars, creamers. Unfortunately, no microwave, at least in our unit, and no tea. Room was dark, and there was... More

all. Here are the breakdowns of why it wasn't somewhere I would every consider coming back to. 1. The manager Holly is very rude and impatient around children 2. No where for children to run around and play at. 3. Next to the highway and there is a rock hill behind the bunk house that is extremely dangerous for children... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here on a Groupon deal for 2 nights. This place is so cute! From the "cabin" itself to the breakfast that is delivered to you in a basket. We loved every minute of our stay. Thank you to everyone at Strawberry Creek Bunkhouse for the amazing hospitality!

our biggest complain was the noise. pet friently=dog barking 4 in the am. there is zero sound insulaiton between the units. the setting is nice, very nice view out the small back patio. the breakfast comes at 0930 in the am?? oddly, the scones are awesome! not within walking distance of town. it is in great location for the deer... We purchased a special certificate for this weekend stay at the "Bunkhouse". Easy check-in and check-out. Colorfully painted exterior with free parking just outside your door we walked into our own little suite with cathedral ceiling. The entire unit is Pine...I think, anyway all wood. October is a great time to go. Heat gone and crisp and cool. Daytime delightful.... More
