This was our first time staying in Idyllwild, OMG what a beautiful place the mountains, the town and your Inn. we were blown away at its beauty. I looked at the short video you have and truly think you should due something grander!!! I read the reviews and almost choose a different place. but kept looking at the photos and... More

Accommodations are very dated. Very hard beds, worn out sheets, flat pillows and the mattress on the twin bed was so old that it was sunken in. Only a tiny shelf in the bathroom to put your stuff on.The shower stall is very small, however we did have very nice new fluffy towels which were the best part of the... More

We apologize you did not enjoy your stay. While the building was originally build in the 50's, we have renovated the rooms. There are new fridges with a separate freezer compartment, new furniture and new 32" lcd tvs. The sheets and pillows are less than a year old and we have included 5 pillows on the king beds and 2... My BF and I decided to return to Idyllwild - this time for 3 nights and stayed at the Bluebird Cottage Inn. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Tony, the owner, who without any prompting from us, upgraded us to a larger room with no neighbors. We were seeking peace, quiet and relaxation and is exactly what we got! Perfect!... More

If you weren't "on the hill" as the locals call it, you'd be horrified. But accommodations around here are all what they call "rustic" so the bar is pretty low. Our room was along the top of the property, where there are about 6 or 7 cabins in a row. Most came equipped with lively children and barking dogs running... More

We went to Idyllwild to escape the heat in Riverside. The Bluebird Cottage Inn is a great place to stay in Idyllwild. it is near the town center and yet far enough not to get the hustle and bustle of busy shopping. The Owl house is the largest and it has ample space for everyone, great kitchen. the office staff... More

We apologize you did not enjoy your stay. We did strive to be as friendly and helpful as we could be. For clarification, the Starling is located along the driveway near the office, on the hill away the main road. And for those who have been to Idyllwild before, they will know that Idyllwild gets so quiet at night, you... More

We were visiting our daughter at Idyllwild Arts Academy and needed a Saturday stay. When booking Idyllwild you will not find many places that will only book one night even if they show availability on the web. We were very happy with the flexibility the Bluebird Cottage Inn extended. We stayed in Bobwhite, a one bedroom with kitchenette and fold... More

We stayed here for the Thanksgiving weekend. We love Idyllwild, but had never stayed at this place before. We will not stay here again. The "Mockingbird" room that we had was dirty and very pooly maintained. There were three different types of lights in the fixture in the bathroom not counting the empty socket with no bulb. The shower curtain... More

Most places in Idyllwild have a 2 night minimum so we felt lucky to find a place that would give us the place for one night and also would allow for a very late check in (11:30pm). HOWEVER, when we got to the room the first thing we noticed were two HUGE spiders in the bathroom which we quickly killed.... More

We stayed at the Inn for the Memorial day weekend 2011 and enjoyed it a lot. It was a last moment reservation and we felt lucky we got the last room. When we arrived we checked in and the owner was really nice and welcoming. We also asked for a hair dryer (we forgot it) and he was very helpful.... More
