These cabins have everything you need. The staff and owners are really nice. Its in walking distance from the little town so you won't have to drive anywhere unless you want to. Only damper was the neighbors in the adjoining cabin had their telly on really loudly for hours at a time, but nothing was going to ruin this idyllic... More

We stayed in the Acorn cottage and we were very satisfied. You get a cozy wood-paneled living room with a wood-burning fireplace. A small, yet very well equipped kitchen. A very comfortable bedroom with a king-size bed and decent bath. It's un-pretentious and homey. Just like Idyllwild! Location is excellent. You can walk to anything from the Fireside. I first... Racoon's Retreat was perfect for me and my dog for a quick three day getaway. Fireside Inn is very dog friendly and even had dog blankets accessible. The room was lovely, fully stocked, and we had a fire every night! The Inn is within walking distance from all of the shops and restaurants and a quick drive to great hiking... More

My wife and I always plan a trip on our birthdays(10 days apart) and we chose Fireside Inn in Idyllwild. We decided to return every year after our 1st visit. Pam Allen is a delightful hostess/innkeeper and one of the sweetest people ever. The rooms are charming, clean and comfortable. We simply did not want to leave and cannot wait... More

Such a great place!! The owner was great when we checked in!! The unit was clean and inviting! It's perfectly full of history. We loved the railroad ties used to complete the structure. The fireplace was also a highlight. You could totally walk to town or restaurants!

Can't wait to go back. Perfect for our family. Lots to do. Plenty of relaxing time. Everything you need is accommodated for by Pam her staff. Some great great restaurants in town too. Just steer clear of 'Joanns'.

For my birthday weekend, I planned a trip to Idyllwild and called my favorite cabin rentals, Fireside Inn. I try to spend at least one weekend a year in Idyllwild and have always rented the Bluebird cabin. It's a quaint one-bedroom cabin with a full kitchen (they even have dishes and utensils). This year, I brought my husband, two kids... More

My boyfriend and I rode up with another couple for the weekend. The Fireside Inn is just a few minutes from the town center. It's a tranquil, lovely place with roomy cabin-like rooms. We stayed in the Acorn suite, which had a small living area, kitchenette, fireplace and separate bedroom with a king bed. Pam, the owner was super nice... More

We stayed at the Meadowlark lodge over Memorial day weekend, and had a wonderful time! The cabin was very close to town (less than a 4 minute drive), and although it is right by the highway, it felt like we were very secluded in the woods. We had 4 adults, and 3 children staying, and each couple had a large... More

We stayed in the "raccoon's retreat" room, though all the other ones looked very cute. The fireplace was large and a lovely addition, big comfortable bed, nice clean bathroom, full kitchenette. The room was larger than the pictures looked, and perfectly large enough for a long weekend ("buy two nights, get the third free" deal!) It was very close (very... More
