We were looking for a hotel close to our relatives and the beach without breaking the bank. I was a little aprehensive since I really don't like hotels with outside hallways, but decided to give it a try anyway because it was a great room rate. The hotel staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean and have been... more

The experience that I had last night, for a hotel, was probably the worst EVER! I am a frequent traveler. I spend about 2 months, throughout the year away from my family, on the road. In China, HK, Europe and all over the States. So, I had a trip (Business for me) in Huntington Beach, CA and arranged so that... more

We were in the area to attend a wedding, and wanted to stay near the beach but not spend a whole lot. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the Best Western, it is a newly renovated property near (1.5 miles) the beach. The rooms are very nicely appointed with comfy mattress and pillows, the pool and hot tub... more

Having made a disappointing hotel choice in Galveston a couple of years before, my boyfriend and I did careful research before choosing a hotel in California. We thought it would be fun to stay near a beach, but didn’t want to spend a fortune. We looked at several reviews for moderately-priced hotels and were quite shocked by how bad some... more

Stayed here while attending a conference at Hyatt Regency (which was out of our price range for 9 days!). Recommend car rental to enjoy this region. Good hotel location, 5 mins on transit bus to public beach. $1.25 on the bus while it's $10 to park at the beach. Front desk staff obliging and helpful. Breakfast good and area well... more

Stayed for 1 night. Pros: Property looks quite old from the outside, but the room was very modern and in great shape. Clean. No odors. Free wifi. Fast checkin. No problems with noise at all. Great price (for the area). Cons: None. Note: I didnt try the breakfast so I cant comment on it. Would definitely stay at again if... more

This was my fifth trip in the past year to the area, for state lifeguard training events. I was trying to maintain a low budget and only needed a single night stay. Pulling up to the property I got a little case of the creeps, because I am used to indoor hallways and this had the feel of a motel.... more

Dec 31, 2007 | Trip type: Friends getaway

I stayed here for 3 nights last August with a friend as a 'last minute' alternative, after we discovered on arriving in Huntington Beach that the hostel we'd booked to stay at had closed down (without them bothering to tell us!). So, we literally found this place by driving around (luckily we had some very kind friends with a car!).... more

This hotel was just an overnight stay for me & 6 friends. We chose the place because it wasn't too expensive. The location is alright, would not recommend staying here without a car but we did get a taxi into the town & it was only 10-15 dollars. The rooms are comfortable but basic. The only complaint is that I... more
