This motel is nothing fancy and it is outdated, but it doesn't try to be more than that. I enjoy staying here because it reminds me of old Huntington before everything turned into a multi million dollar mansion and it was an affordable, laid back surf town with friendly people. The staff couldn't be more helpful or friendly. This is... More

It's a dump. The price isn't worth for what you get. But it has a nice location to the beach and they have great farmers market Fridays i guess not sure, very close to this overpriced motel of very vad quality.. ...... ................. ........... .... .... ..... ..... ........ ......

Overall we were very happy with the location, price an staff, everything was within walking distance so we didn't need to hire a car, there was a couple of issues with the room on check in, but the manager was straight onto getting them addressed and by the time we returned from looking around it had been fixed, We will... Was down for the Surf City Marathon and wanted to get close to the start line. Hyatt was charging more than $440 a night. Surf 'n' Sands was still a bit pricey for a "Motel" at almost $200 a night, but i figured why not give it a try. Bad idea. The place was disgusting. The best thing i can... More

i am seriously very sorry for your worst experience ever. when you made your reservation the day before the surf city marathon, i did tell you that we had a 2 day minimum. i had a smoking room with 2 queen beds with an ocean view that is available for 1 night only. the rate $189.00. the other non smoking... Not the newest or shiniest but superb value and located right on the beach. Pet friendly, the huntington dog beach is a lovely 3 block walk down the beach. 3 blocks the other way is downtown Huntington for food and surf shops.

My wife and I stayed here for the weekend it was clean, quiet, & the manager was very friendly. The view of the ocean was beautiful at sunset from the balcony. The location was very convenient we walked to the Huntington pier and shops in less than five minutes. Plenty of restaurants, bars, and clothing stores within walking distance we had a great... More

The Sun 'n' Sands Motel is conveniently located across the street from the beach and within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The noise from the highway (and other guests) could be bothersome for some travellers (I travel with earplugs). The lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful, and we liked the resident kitties. As for the... More

If you are in search for a luxury hotel, move right along, this is not it. However, if you are looking for a clean, basic motel with a friendly service and free car parking, on the beach-front, within walking distance from the pier and all the shops and restaurants - look no further. I would stay here again. It was... More

Well we had a great time at this property. Those of you who have tried will know that getting reasonably priced accommodation near the beach, near the centre of Huntington Beach, (Or Newport beach for that matter) particularly on the Pacific Coast Highway itself is impossible! Therefore the Sun n Sands motel is ideal. If you are looking for a... More

We seen reviews and thought it could be old but as long as its clean it would be okay for a night or two. What a dirty dump they advertised for $129 per night, we ended up being charged for $179 night, it was worth $29.00 at the most . It Is indeed across from the ocean but pretty much... More
