We spent a weekend at West Shore Cafe and Inn on our 3+ week driving vacation through the West. At this point we were starting North toward home. We arrived in lovely sunshine but it did change and was a lot cooler but still sunny the entire time. We were in the "economy" mode so booked a room with a... More

We spent an overnight at West Shore Cafe and Inn--what luxury! What fun! Our Sugar Pine Point Suite overlooked the lakefront deck scene with people coming and going by boat, and enjoying live music. The suite was opulent (as it should be given the cost). The check-in and check-out process was very smooth and all the hotel staff were super... More

Had a lovely lunch on the pier, nice food and friendly service. Looking forward to staying here as soon as we get the opportunity.

We just returned from a 3 night stay in the Mount Watson Suite. This room (as well as the Marlette suite) have absolutely spectacular in-room views of Lake Tahoe. We spent as much time as we could lounging in front of our large window, drinking wine and gazing out at the waters of Lake Tahoe. The views of the room... More

Just spent 3 nights in this little jewel directly on Lake Tahoe across the street from the Homewood Ski Resort. I made the reservation before they decided to close for 2 weeks to get ready for the busy summer season, so we had the place to ourselves. I appreciated that they honored the reservation even though they were technically closed.... More

Having read reviews of West Shore on Trip Advisor, we were aware that there were fairly new owners. Perhaps that explains the inconsistency of service. However, we cannot praise the actual accommodation highly enough. We had the McKinney Bay Suite...trust me the pictures do not do it justice....roomy, beautifully appointed, 2 huge bathrooms, large flat screen TVs with satellite (pet... More

While I definitely loved the food here, I think it's the atmosphere and the amazing outside seating that makes this place a winner! Definitely a great place to post up in the summer sunshine. I actually thought our starters were the best part -- the asparagus spears and corn & crab fritters were both total winners! The service wasn't the... More

Views are amazing!!! We booked here last minute New years week. It had its grand opening Dec 26. We stayed from the 28th-1st. The rooms were spacious and cozy. It had great ambiance. For being open for 3 days there were very few glitches. You have to expect some the first few weeks. Great location if your skiing Homewood...can't get... More

Upon entering the "newly" renovated and new owner establishment it was nice although the hostess was rude rude rude. We were told there was a wait no time limit given. We were told "well you can wait at the bar" "but there is no food". So we went over to a farther area and sat on a couch. We were... More
