The westshore is so beautiful. The light on the water is unparalled anywhere else on the lake. So, right off the bat, this hotel gets major points. Plus...it is across the street from my personal favorite ski resort, Homewood. Another crazy plus. But the actual property and food and rooms...gorgeous. Perfect place to just stop into after a day on... More

We enjoyed a two night stay at this lovely Inn on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. Thanks to mycokerewards.com for choosing my husband as the winner of a sweepstakes here. Robin and Sarah were excellent hostesses. Complimentary breakfast was delivered to our room each morning. Fireplace and view of the ski slope were romantic.

My husband and I stayed overnight here while we explored Lake Tahoe and had a great time! It was kind of a pre-anniversary treat because I'll be recovering from surgery on our real anniversary, so I wanted a really nice place. Our room was at a discounted price, so I think we may have gotten the smallest one there, but... More

We are hooked on the West Shore Inn. And we are hooked on the Marlette Peak Suite. We are immersed into the tranquility and relaxation of the lake the second we open the door to our room. The views are superb as is the service. It is expensive - our room was around $700 with tax. But as the saying... More

We'd visited a couple other lakefront lunch spots on the west shore that were more, well, meant for the party crowd looking for cheap eats & drinks (e.g., Sunnyside). We were hoping for a more upscale lakefront spot to enjoy lunch on our anniversary. After driving by and checking out the website, we hoped we'd found a winner with the... More

We stayed for two nights in the McKinney Bay Suite and I was extremely disappointed. The "filtered view" of the lake was a big disappointment. The trees are now so overgrown that there is practically no view at all of the lake. The master bedroom has a view of the parking lot and we heard folks coming in late at... More

We have come here for years and continue to think it is one of the best spots in north lake. Despite recent ownership changes, the food and service were excellent. I recommend the caprese salad, the filet or the skuna bay salmon. Make sure to get a table outside with a view. Depending on time of summer, would recommend an... More

Just got home from a USA road trip and this place was by far the nicest and most comfortable place we stayed not just on this holiday but ever!. The room was even better than it looked on the website and the attention to detail defies description . Lovely thick woolen carpets (lets face it most hotels have rather worn... More

I actually did not stay there but ate lunch in the deck with a group of friends. A limited, little pricey, but good menu of sandwiches and salads. Great bar with featured drinks. But being on the water with an unobstructed view of Lake Tahoe is worth a little more and will make you high without imbibing!!! The remodeled cafe... More

My brother-in-law just had his wedding at West Shore. It was absolutely gorgeous, this place is out of a storybook! The rooms are spectacular. We stayed in the Sugar Pine suite which had a living room, 2 fireplaces, 2 flat screens, 2 amazing bathrooms and 2 balconies with views of the lake. I wish my house looked like this, whoever... More
