This hotel provided three of us excellent location and value to the Laguna Seca Raceway event. Other hotels in Monterey, Salinas, and Santa Cruz were charging extremely high prices. There were a good selection of nearby restaurants - various sushi establishments, Progresso Mexican (a long-time, family-owned and operated), and Running Rooster Restaurants. The latter was very good and features wood-fired... More

I booked this hotel as a low cost option for myself and my niece. We were meeting a non profit group in Monterey CA and frankly the cost and relatively short (54+/miles) distance to Monterey drove my choice. Initially I was concerned as the location is small and located in the midst of a commerical/industrial strip in a rural area.... More

Not a bad place to stay, best in Hollister for sure. Sure beats the theamed rooms of the Hollister Inn. It is conviently located on the main highway coming into town. Makes it easy to get to San Jose and Monterey Bay areas

Our king room smelled fresh and was clean. The room was updated with nice drapes, crown moldings, chair and ottoman, flat screen TV, etc. The furniture and paint looked near new. Also had a microwave and refrig. Our mattress was very comfortable. The bath area had a large counter with granite top, nice tile floor and updated mirror, lighting, etc.... More

This is a very quaint Best Western, that basically sits next to a field. It is very close to the town of Gilroy, the garlic capitol of California. It is just a short putt to the town of Hollister should one need to acquire any amenities not at the hotel. The staff was very pleasant, and accommodating, giving a list... More

Unfortunately I am giving a terrible rating for Best Western in Hollister. The hotel exterior, reception and dinning areas and the bedroom flooring were dirty. The bed was uncomfortable and squeaked at the slightest movement. The walkways had not been swept or washed down for weeks, if not months. I would have walked away but it was almost midnight and... Had a great stay as always at Best Western. rooms are always clean. Great friendly staff and great breakfast in the morning all at a reasonable price. can't go wrong with Best Western. this is the second time my husband and I stayed here to go to the Garlic Festival in Gilroy, ca. this room was so much less expensive... Clean rooms, nice staff. It is close to everything. Bring a iPad or Kindle as they do not have pay per view movies. It has a pool but can get really windy and the area is not protected. It is a great place to stay and a good value if you just need someplace to sleep for the night.

This hotel was 5 stars in my book. Room was extremely clean and comfortable. Room amenities were very nice, with a fridge, microwave, coffee, flat panel tv. Everything worked as it should. Not a spec of dust or dirt anywhere in room. Very nice. Will stay again.

We booked this without seeing where it was in relation to town, it is not within a decent walking distance to really anything, but we found out how easy it was to get a taxi going both ways. The facility was clean and we would probably stay here again. We paid a fortune because it was during the Hollister Motorcycle... More
