A great place to stop if driving by and also a great place to go if u live nearby. Good food and two different restaurants and lots and lots for kids to do. Make it a point to go here. Cheap, fun and inviting for all! Been coming here for years and will continue to do so!

Sometimes on Saturdays when my children were little, we would take some time to drive down to Casa de Fruita, a little attraction in the North Valley you may wish to visit when driving to the Gilroy Outlets, Gilroy Gardens or even Carmel or Monterey. It is the perfect place for children of all ages to enjoy. The location is... More

My husband and I have driven by Casa de Fruta numerous times and finally stopped a year and a half ago after my son and daughter-in-law's wedding. We ate at the restaurant and shopped at the market. After attending a wedding in Santa Barbara then driving to Sunnyvale, we decided to drive west on 152 and have breakfast, again, at... More

If you are driving north to San Jose there are miles of driving with virtually no places to stop along the way. Casa de Fruta is a good rest stop in Hollister with a restaurant, RV park and expansive gift, fruit, souvenir and candy shop. The restaurant is decent but somewhat overpriced. The gift shop has all types of interesting... More

This is for the Casa de Fruta RV park. Simple!!! We loved it. No more than a half hour from Gilroy/Hollister and only 45 mins from the beach. The bathrooms are well kept and the showers are as hot as you want them to be. The RV spaces on the grass were great and the RV staff friendly and very... More

We were on a road trip to Monterey and this place had been suggested to us as a good place to buy local produce. Also labeled a "tourist trap". We stopped and had a great time browsing. What a wonderful example of the incredible agriculture in central California! Found many special gifts to bring home to Texas.

I stay here throughout the Nor Cal Renaissance Faire Season, every weekend. The staff is super friendly, the place is always fun, and everyone is great. The park itself is old, but everything works and it has great trees. Don't park under a walnut tree, you'll be "squirrel bombed" all night. Within walking distance is everything you may need, and... Casa De Fruta Not just a great place to catch a Great meal on road trip thru... But most defiantly worth the hour or so ride from the North Bay for a great meal! Week days tend to be less crowded then weekends... Especially during special events like the Renascence Fair! So if crowds and extreme fun are not your... More

This was a good place to visit but we won't stay overnight again. The RV park felt like a crammed parking lot. It was extremely loud both nights we stayed, very late into the night and early morning. The restaurant and nearby stores are good and nice but we can visit those while still staying elsewhere. For pet owners, the... More

Casa due Fruita was...is...and perhaps will always be a mainstay stopping point through the California central valley. From the fresh fruit to the wild peacocks roaming through the grounds for all to enjoy.. If you find yourself close by, do yourselves a favor and enjoy an old fashioned breakfast, take a train ride around the park and get some freshly... More
