The fudge, Carmel apples, ice cream, dried and fresh fruit and nuts are always great! We always stop on the way to or from the beach. Cute train, carousel, pond with ducks and turtles for the kids. Only down side is bathrooms are always busy, maybe they should put some more in.

We have been stopping here for a few years now. They seems to keep growing. There is a wine, cheese, and deli shop now. If you have never been there you should make it a point to stop and take a break from the Pacheco Pass. They have a candy / ice cream shop, the main shop that has fruits,... More

We've passed the Casa de Fruta property many times on our trips to California as we travel via the Highway 5 route to Los Angeles from the San Jose area. This time around we spent the day shopping at the outlets at Gilroy and were looking for somewhere convenient to stay. Having visited this property's stores, gardens and diner before... More

Okay. So I stopped for a coffee and decided to try the food at the deli. This place is a hidden treasure. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious! I wish I would have stopped here years ago. Highly recommended and can't wait to bring the family out to this location. Everything from wine to a hotel room.... More

This is our third time here. I live in Florida, and for the past three years, I've been making my way to the pacific coast for summer vacationing. I cannot brag enough about this place. Fresh fruit and veggies, all sorts of nuts, chocolate, candy, flavored popcorn, dried fruit, raw honey - all from the most fertile lands in California.... More

We have stayed here many times over the years, mainly because the whole Casa de Fruta experinece is so fun and quirky. It's kind of like the "South of the Border" for Californians. (If you're from the Carolinas, you'll understand the reference.) There are not many of these roadside destinations in existence any more. We hadn't stayed here in a... More

A Destination Location or Rest stop between the Yosemite Mountains and Central California Coast! We are blessed to live on the central California coast with an ocean view, but sometimes crave a walk in the woods amongst the giant redwood and pine trees. This is a fabulous place to stop on our road trip, for a nice meal and snacks.They... More

We researched this place for a couple of months before we visited and I even asked in a Forum people's opinions on the place and we were pleasantly surprised after feeling a bit doubtful about our choice. We were tossing up whether to stay in Santa Clara/San Jose or here and one Advisor pretty much said "why fly 12 hours... More

Our room was clean, tastefully furnished and looked like it had been updated fairly recently. The bed was very comfortable. Shower facilities were great and very clean. Overall a very nice experience, especially looking out on all the flowers and birds at the back of the complex. The restaurant in the complex had good food and great service with friendly... More

Good gift and souvenir shopping. Decent wine, has a motel, campground, playground and train ride for kids, tons of old rusted farm equipment, fruit stand. Prices are high but they have a lot of interesting things. the wine shop has really cool stuff too. There is a restaurant-we did not try.
