I was looking for a Hotel in Half Moon Bay that didn't cost an arm and a leg. I needed to be Close to downtown for business. I wasn't sure about Location right in Hwy 1, but I didn't hear any traffic noise. Short walk down to the beach, and a skip over to my favorite burrito Joint "Tres Amigos".... More

We needed a hotel immediately. We just heard that the Mavericks Surf Comp was happening the next day, on Friday, and decided to spend night in Half Moon Bay so we could be at the compeition early. I found Coastside Inn for a very resonable, good price. We were so pleased with the choice. The room looked like it was just... More

The room was very nice and complete with all of the amenities expected. Our check-in was efficent as was out check-out. Nothing outstanding about the morning breakfast but I always give extra points if there is a waffle maker - even if I didn't use it. You can walk to the beach but if you drive be prepared to pay... My girlfriend and I came back to Half Moon Bay for a quick weekend trip and again we stayed at the Coastside Inn. It was our second time staying there and once again, we enjoyed the stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful in all aspects of our stay - from phone... More

The staff was friendly and the rates much more reasonable than other hotels in the area. The room was everything you could expect from a hotel. Nothing too fancy. The free breakfast was great. After a long night of drinking, the staff really came through for me with fresh coffee and a bagel. I would stay here again for sure!... More

Along our road trip up the California coast, my mom and I chose Half Moon Bay as one of our stopping destinations. The Coastside Inn had everything we needed for a one night stay. The staff gracefully welcomed us upon check-in, our room was incredibly clean and the bed was one of the comfiest of our other hotel visits. The... More

We wanted to visit the area for fallish activities(great pumpkin festival in Oct). We booked in the $ 100 range - the staff was very helpful. Overall I enjoyed it - frankly I would stay here over San Mateo, and just drive down 92. Its a great - laid back beach town area. The breakfast was good - mix of... More

Very reasonably priced basic hotel. We were pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The location is convenient to everything, town, beaches, and highway. While on a main road, we did not notice the noise. We would stay there again. Oh yes, breakfast is early; we are late risers so almost... More

We spent two nights at the Coastside Inn and were very impressed at how hard the staff work to keep the place looking nice. The breakfast was tasty and the staff were very good at cleaning up after people in the breakfast room. The room was quiet even though they were very busy. We enjoyed our stay at the inn.

This was a fine place to stay. The room was large, clean, bed was comfortable and they had a nice breakfast. You park outside your room. You could hear some noise but not a big problem. You can walk a few blocks to the beach
