I loved this B&B. Half-moon Bay is only a 40 minute drive from San Fran, but is quiet compared to the city. Half-moon Bay really is a lovely little community. There are several top restaurants near by and a great bar! The best one I found in the US in fact! Our room was average, but comfy and cool. There... More

When we first arrived we were given a room upstairs and outside the main house. The room was large with a fireplace, but the bed was terrible and the blinds were broken off in sections. Since there are no curtains, anyone walking by the room could see in! That made me uncomfortable, so we asked for a different room and... More

GOOD: Reasonable price, $129 weekdays, $149 weekend. We were able to bring our dog with us (some rooms allow dogs). Breakfast was fine though seating was limited. Beds were comfortable enough. BAD: Walls are thin. We were kept awake by a loud snorer in the next room (we were in #23). No A/C meaning you have to use the fan,... More

This place is charming and cute but if your a neat freak or like clean rooms stay away... we were staying in the main building, not only were the hardwood floors in are room ridiculously dirty (turn you feet black kinda dirty) but there were huge spider webs draping down from the ceiling. Not too impressed with the upkeep they... More

My wife and I stayed one night at the Zaballa House. I will say that Maria at the front desk was really nice and accommodating. We stayed in room 12, which is their largest room. It's huge! However this room is not in the main house. It's in the building out back. I'm not sure about the rooms in main... More

This bed-and-breakfast was charming in the photos, but turned out not to be what it seemed to be once we got there. We ordered a standard queen room for a nice weekend getaway for us as a couple, thinking we would have one of the nicely-decorated rooms pictured on the website. Instead, we were sent over to the rather dumpy... More

We took one of the three upscale suites. Very spacious, with balcony. King bed was good. Comfortable sitting area. I agree with others that the combination shower/Jacuzzi is not user friendly. You have to be very careful climbing in and out of the shower. Weather was pleasant, so we didn't miss the air conditioning. I can see where that might... More

No AC, no fans, and no screens in the window. It's ridiculously hot in here, but when I open the widow moths fly in. There is no shower just a large tub with a handheld shower thing and no shower curtain or anything. Also it smells like sour milk in my room. There's no one here to talk to about... More

Initially I was bummed. We got some type of brother in law deal off a website and when we arrived the room was a bust. Cold, no blankets, problem with the fireplace meant for a potentially cold night. My wife went down and talked to the lady who couldn't get around due to a leg injury, she was the only... More

It was VERY bad! The room does not have a/c or a fan (room 7) so you sweat to death and can't sleep, the decor isn't cute and charming it's old, bed is hard, sheets are crispy, broken blinds, no tv. The chair I was sitting in was broken with a jagged edge that cut my arm. I literally was... More
