Landis Shores was our first stop on a coastal road trip after flying to Oakland from Maryland. Although when planning the trip several people told us that Half Moon Bay was not worth more than a few hours or 1 night, we wanted time to relax after the cross-country trip so we booked 2 nights. While it may be true... More

We really like Half Moon Bay and had always stayed in town at a bed and breakfast inn. This was a very nice change--ocean location, newer, We hope to return soon. We traveled before the dates listed but w assumed that it is just as nice.

When we booked our two night stay at Landis Shores for our anniversary, we didn't think we 'd be this close to the ocean. Though our room was not directly oceanfront, we had a fantastic view of the ocean and at night left our window open so we could hear it. It was fantastic. The room and breakfast were great... More

Although spending only one night, this charming, superbly located B&B has made a wonderful memory which will last forever! Each of the 8 rooms has a private balcony overlooking the ocean. We enjoyed our late afternoon wine and cheese offering and gourmet breakfast on the balcony watching the vibrant and exciting beach and ocean life and listening to the roar... More

My husband and I spent 2 nights here as part of our 30th anniversary trip. This is a small property and most, if not all of the rooms are directly on the ocean. Our room was large and comfortable and had a patio looking over the ocean. There was room enough to sit on one of the two chairs on... More

We spent one night here as a stopover to San Francisco and it was perfect. I would come back for a longer weekend stay and take in more time on the beach and going to the nearby jazz club. The hotel seems very new, clean and freshly furnished. Our room was large with a huge comfortable bed, gas fireplace, and... More

My husband and I stayed here for 4 days - could have stayed much longer! This is a comfy 8 room inn, with wonderful staff and owners. We stayed in the Tuscany room, very comfy king bed, window looking out at the ocean and a small private patio with two chairs and a little table. I was on the balcony... More

Wow, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We enjoyed a delicious gourmet breakfast each day and then also enjoyed chatting with the wonderful owners each afternoon as they gave us various wines to taste and appetizers. Falling asleep each night to the crashing ocean waves was very soothing and the view was great. What more could you... More

I'm in love with this place. Staying in the Napa Valley room, and love it! Full ocean view with a private balcony, beautiful room and wonderful hospitality. Jacuzzi tub and nice shower. Fireplace in room with heated floors. Yummy breakfast in the morning. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Fell asleep last night listening to the sound of the... More

We chose Landis Shores as oceanfront refuge for one night and were sorry only about the fact that we couldn't stay longer. It's the best place to be in Half Moon Bay; you feel welcome and taken care of at any time, from your arrival to your departure. Ken and Ellen already helped us finding rooms that met our needs...
