I surprised my husband with an overnight stay for his 50th birthday and all my expectations were exceeded! To start with we lucked out and had two sunny days after two weeks of rain in the Bay Area. I booked a partial ocean view room with the breakfast package and when we checked in at the front desk they upgraded... More

It's a Ritz Carlton -- I was prepared to spend money. But at the end of a 2-day Christmas stay, I actually felt a bit ripped off. We were put in a guest house room despite reservations in the main hotel, which I realized too late was a mistake. We reserved a deluxe ocean-view room: there was one lonely chair... More

I have stayed at about 10 different Ritz-Carltons around the world. This place has the makings of a pretty great place - ideal location (30 minutes south of SFO), incredible golf, breathtaking views of the Pacific. But, it just did not live up to what I normally expect and receive at a Ritz. Maybe it is because there is very... More

This is a hotel which is really worth the money you pay! the whole atmosphere here makes you feel sooooo good. And it is so quiet around, you are surounded by the ocean and the golfcourse.... fantastic! It is very expensive, but there are not so many hotels that can offer such an amazing location.... and the golf course is... More

Not impressed with the room decor. For the price you have to pay for a room, it wasn't worth the cost. The exterior of the building is very simple, not the grandeur of a Ritz Carlton. The Presidential Suite design is very bare, not enough decor appointments for a presidential suite. The carpet did not impress me.

My family just returned back to NY after a 4 night stay at the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay. This Ritz property is extremely beautiful with breath taking views of the Pacific Ocean. If you like Golf the 2 courses (Ocean and Old Course) are challenging and offer great views especially the 18th hole on the Old Course. We were... More

This was my first time staying at a Ritz Carlton property (why did I wait so long??) and although I have stayed at other high-end hotels, the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay surpasses all others because of their exceptional service. No appointment for a massage? No problem--they catered to my last-minute request. The Club Level area? Spectacular! The staff was... More

After upgrading our AMEX card to Platinum, we decided on a spur-of-the-moment trip to see if the benefits were worth the cost. Wow! Were they ever! One call to American Express travel took care of the details and we were on our way. From the moment we arrived to when we departed the atmosphere, service and substance of the property... More

We stay at the club level, the food presentation is just wonderful and is money well spend. I believe is about 150 dollars more for the whole entire family. We didn't go out... More

Before arriving with my husband, two and five year old boy's, I totally checked this place out. After all we are talking $695.00 a night. Yes, you will get Club level, a beautiful balcony, and an amazing ocean view, lunch by the pool. Well....only 9 rooms have balcony's, the pool is exactly 1 mile away, oh ya, there is no... More
