I stayed at Oceano Hotel & Spa for a corporate off-site meeting. Nice accommodations with nearby restaurants/brewery. Bed was a little too firm. Hotel recommended professional sandcastle sculptors as a teambuilding activity, which was a huge success. Overall, nice hotel at reasonable cost in Half Moon Bay.

We enjoyed our stay. We had a king suite that was very spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. We had a nice view of the bay off of our patio. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable of the local attractions. The hotel is only 1.5 miles from Mavericks Park which is well worth seeing. The bar and dining were an... More

I recently stayed at the Oceano for a meeting (Sunday-Wed) and found the rooms and the service to be superb. They were responsive, polite, and the room was very large and pretty. I had one of what I believe to be one of the few rooms with no view of the water; my room looked over the brewery parking lot.... More

We stayed for our 5th anniversary and it was really lovely! We were upgraded to a Honeymoon Suite (room 315) and couldn't have been happier with the ambience or the view of the harbor and ocean beyond. However, when it came to sleeping, we found the bed to be shockingly hard and uncomfortable which prevented resting well and we both... More

I was literally blown away by the standard of my amazing room! I had a balcony overlooking the marina, and sat out and watched the sun set. I was flying my little areal 'drone' and getting some beautiful shots, but arrived back at the hotel extremely cold. The bath was one of the best I have experienced, and I was... More

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel, its elegant, quiet and the service is impeccable. They couldnt have been more helpful. We enjoyed it so much we extended our stay by a couple of nights. Our room overlooked the marina and it was lovely to sit outside on the verandah and watch the boats going in and out of... More

Having a one night trip to a somewhat pricy hotel to find out they are having wedding PARTIES right outside your door until 11PM is NOT OK! They claim the noise doesn't usually bother people but they are obviously LYING!

All I had to do was stop in at the local Ritz, and be quoted a mid-week room rate of over $700, and this place was an absolute bargain at one third that! And it is a beautiful and total property as well, for that price. My room was a suite, overlooking the marina and harbor, no less. Fireplace, kitchenette,... More

We stayed at the cottages at the Oceano (the old Pillar Point Inn, next to the main hotel) for a quick romantic get-away. All-in-all, we were pleased with the stay. The Inn has been renovated, so the room was nice. Window seat overlooking the harbor, and a gas fireplace set a nice mood for the stay. Several nice restaurants within... More

We thought this place was a bit odd: The building was fine, as it looks in the photos, but it didn't quite have the atmosphere it seemed to promise. It was as though it was built to look old, but in fact it was regular, sterile and a bit plasticky, so not as lovely as we had expected. We had... More
