As a low budget traveler, I am not all that picky when it comes to lodging, but I was very impressed by the Motel 6 in Hacienda Heights. It's probably the lowest priced Motel 6 in the LA area, because there's not much going on nearby. However if you don't mind driving a little bit longer (30 min from downtown LA with no traffic), this will work out great. The motel is located in a rather nice residential area, it's right off the freeway but I was not bothered by noise at all. My room was very clean. The shower was the best part - super high water pressure!

I would have given the place a 5, but my toilet broke on the first day (it was quickly repaired). Also like most motels, the blanket on the bed was very thin, but fortunately I had brought my own along. Overall, this motel exceeded my expectations. I would recommend it to anyone. more
