When you get there it doesn't look more than one of 'onenighter' roadside motels. Our room was one of smaller rooms but the bed was comfortable, pillows just right, and nice and clean linens. The shower was quite small so you may want to chose one of bigger rooms. It's unexpectedly quiet but with windows closed. Otherwise the morning traffics... More

My husband and I recently spent a night at this inn, which functions more like a b&b. We loved the location among the redwoods of Sonoma County and liked hearing the history of the 100-yr-old main house from Brian, who warmly greeted us on arrival. Even though we were booked in the Spruce room off the dining area, Brian upgraded... More

We had a fabulous time staying at the Sonoma Orchid Inn! Our room was perfect, just steps away from the main house. It was quite and peaceful. The grounds of the inn are laid out in a very welcoming way. Probably our favorite feature was the hot tub, which we enjoyed with a glass or two of wine several times.... More

My friend Dianne and I stayed at this very quaint B&B for an overnight trip up to the area to do some wine tasting. We were greeted by Brian (one of the owners) when we pulled up, he gave us the tour of the facility which includes complimentary water and juice, room in the fridge if you purchase something that... Thank you so much! We loved having you and hope that you can come to breakfast the next time you stay with us. That salsa recipe is a keeper. More

We stayed here for one night while visiting the Russian River wine region. Charming old-fashioned Inn, clean rooms, really wonderful breakfast including great coffee! A bit of road noise early morning was the only downside.

We had three lovely nights here in the Hawthorne Cottage. Brian and Dana are wonderful welcoming hosts; they make delicious breakfasts and were at the ready to help us plan our days. The property is a few minutes from Guerneville by car, adjacent to Korbel Winery, which has a lovely deli for a lunch or take out food. The guest... More

Such a relaxing space. The gathering room felt as if we were in a glass tree house. We took time to build a family puzzle during our stay. To our surprise we completed the puzzle on our last night. Breakfast was wonderful, especially the custard French toast, well maybe the freshly made scones were the best, or the fresh baked... More

We stayed for a night several days after record rain. I expected to find Guerneville flooded but it wasn't. The inn is quite a bit above the river in any case. We stayed in the hawthorn cottage because it had a fireplace, which we loved. The flames from (the gas) fireplace flickered on and off all night, which i found... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in late October. It is about 15 minutes away from Santa Rosa. Easily accessible to Russian river vineyards, and to redwood forests. The hosts are great, from fabulous breakfasts to offering suggestions regarding vineyards (and a tasting card which offers some complimentary tastings) to restaurants to hiking trails. We would have loved to have... More

We stayed at the Sonoma Orchid Inn two years ago and the impression has not worn off. We will be returning this month and looking forward to a little hideaway off the main drag with very gracious hosts. We enjoyed the hot tub, bocce ball, the guests kitchen and especially the breakfasts. These two can cook and they have lots... More
