We stayed here for the first time last week, and we loved it. Phil and Pia were ideal hosts. We were attending a workshop in the area and we tried this place and could not have been happier. The room (Quilt) was warm and we loved sleeping here while the rain poured outside. We were really happy with the large... More

Got a room there Thanksgiving Night, so I could have dinner with pals in Gualala. Their spare spaces were filled with family, so I picked this Inn. What a nice place! They gave me the Quilt room, which is spacious and has a kitchen, dining area, fire place, big closet and a really nice bed. Very quiet there. No TV,... More

Lovely, large room with a very comfortable bed and a warm and soothing fireplace. That being said, we were slightly disappointed that the bathroom did not have a shower nor an exhaust fan. Although not that critical, we did expect a view of the ocean from the photos we saw on the website, but we could hear the highway traffic,... More

Phil and Pia, our gracious hosts, made us feel welcome from the moment we drove up. Our room featured a king size bed with a wonderful mattress and feather bed. We slept like babies and woke to a fantastic breakfast on each morning of our stay. Pia tempted us with her homemade apple galette, egg strata, apple cinnamon muffins, poached... More

This rustic retreat in grounds of 20 foot rhododendrons and multistory redwoods is perfect for a quiet rejuvenation of spirit. Add in the excellent breakfasts, the friendliness of the owners, the welcoming barking of the sea lions and you have a wonderful spot for a vacation.

Each year we take a motorcycle trip with family and friends. During these trips we often stay at Hampton Inns and Best Westerns because of their friendly staffs, free breakfasts, consistently comfortable rooms and special attention to our motorcycles. Most Hampton Inns suggest we park our bikes at the front doors during the nights so the staff can keep an... More

The North Coast Country Inn does not give you a wonderful view of the ocean, but you could hear the sea lions barking while walking through the garden paths and taking in the 12-foot chainsaw sculptures of whales (see picture) and quaint buildings (our rooms) that look like they were collectively an artist shopping mall in the recent past. Phil... More

This quaint little inn is tucked into the woods, with attractive landscaping, charming rooms and friendly hosts. We do not enjoy the typical accommodations found at most motels, we value a more old fashion, home-like environment. I read all the good reviews regarding this inn, however, I was concerned with it's proximity to Highway One. The road noise was not... More

Great location just north of Gualala. We stayed in the Evergreen Room - a spacious and beautifully decorated room that is at nearly tree-top height so the view was terrific. At 5:00 we shared wine and cheese with our hosts and the other guests, and breakfast the following morning included a fabulous quiche, yogurt, fruit platter, sausages and more. They... More

Drove up the coast with my fiancée after a hard week a of work and was lucky enough but to stay at this GEM! Pia and Phil (the owners) could not have been more friendly. They catered to us like we were the only guests staying there but the place was packed! Our room was emaculent and the bed was... More
