Breakers Inn has great views of the inlet of the Gualala River to the ocean. We has a large room with two double beds, a fireplace, large bathroom with a large jacuzzi tub and separate shower stall. Good location, very friendly staff and comfortable beds.. Only problem was we were on the ground floor. I would recommend a room on... More

Stayed for our anniversary. We read other reviews about noise from neighbors and requested a top floor room. We stayed in bldg C in the Oregon room. Outstanding view and room. Room had a fireplace and jacuzzi tub. Did not hear anything other than the sounds from the coast. Ate an outstanding dinner at Cove Azul and breakfast at Trinks.... More

we didn't originally plan on staying here but wanted to get closer to our final destination... they were wonderful - we stopped late and they still took the time to answer our questions and book a room for us. Super friendly and helpful, despite the time. The room was nice - a great view... and I wish we could've used... More

We spent our anniversary here at the end of April. We reserved two nights by calling the hotel and speaking with the manager, Kim. She was exceptionally friendly and willing to talk about each of the rooms, which are thematically based on a country, state or region. She convinced us to stay in the Germany room, which she said had... More

Our room had a great view of the ocean. The balcony put us right above the tides, though the chairs were dumpy. The fireplace with a fake log was a plus as was the jacuzzi. The service was so so. We had a out of service smoke alarm and there are no sprinkler systems. Not really breakfast, just coffee and... More

We stayed at this hotel in February 2014. What a treat! Beautifully appointed rooms, fabulous ... I mean really fabulous... views of the Gualala River and the Pacific Ocean! We saw sea otters, hawks, seagulls, kayakers, etc. from our lovely deck. There is also a little walk that runs from one end of the town to the other along the... More

Positives: ocean view at its best, large spacious room, private balconies, close to everything we wanted to do, jacuzzi tub, comfy bed. Negatives: hard to ignore the people walking around on the floor above, could use some deep cleaning on deck, new chairs needed on deck too. Gualala is an awesome location and this is a hotel meant to create... More

In all fairness, the front desk is super friendly and very helpful. However, the photos of the rooms are a bit deceiving. The furniture is worn and don't expect to find a beach to relax on. If you are looking for a room to sit in where you can hear the ocean then you may be pleased here.

Our second stay at Breaker's Inn was as good as last year. Terrific setting in low-key Gualala. Rooms have superb views of the river, beach/cliffs and ocean. Comfortable, fairly-priced rooms and friendly staff. We were in Connecticut, tough to beat the sunset from the deck. Surf market, next door, is surprisingly well stocked with a capable crew. We did not... More
