We stayed here in June. It was my first visit but my daughter and son-in-law are regulars. I simply loved this place. So peaceful and quiet, it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy each other's company. Our rental house was spacious with wonderfully comfortable beds. We had a big kitchen and we cooked a few meals there. It... More

I got a recommendation to stay here and after camping for a while in California I felt like a proper hotel would be nice. The hotel attracted me due to its unique style - a beautiful wooden architecture in a very nice setting! The staff were really friendly and created a very nice atmosphere. But my room had a certain... More

Smooth and easy check-in. Got the cabin we wanted -- Wake Robin is perfect for a romantic getaway. Clean, comfortable, and private, nestled against the trees. Dinner menu looked wonderful and has been recommended by a family member. Unfortunately, dinner not served on Wed evening so went into Gualala for dinner, to the recommended Sandbar - good choice for food... More

Saint Orres is not your typical inn, in a good way! It is a collection of cabins and cottages, each one original and unique. This was our second stay here. We stayed in the Wake Robin and it is delightful! This cabin looks tiny from the outside, but inside it is actually spacious and extremely peaceful and quiet, sitting right... More

We were looking for somewhere to stay, turned the corner, and there was this amazing Russian inspired hotel, built in wood with minarets topping it off. We were shown a double room, which turned out to be quite small with a shared bathroom. I turned this down, and was offered a cottage for the same price. This was perfect, with... More

We checked in to the cutest little cabin and then the next day our hot water went out. They upgraded us to the Pine Haven which was my dream house. We went to the beach, we went to town, we went to dinner in Point Arena. We had no TV, no internet, we barely had phone reception but I loved... More

If you are artistic, interested in breathtaking nature, retreat-like surroundings, fabulous food, an alternative five stars all in its own unique way, this is the place to be. For example there is no TV or wi-fi service, which gives it a true retreat quality and I suggest downloading podcasts beforehand in case you are not used to quiet surroundings. It... More

We filled the whole property for a long weekend in early December for a wedding. Some of us were in the hotel rooms upstairs, and the rest in the cabins and cottages on both sides of the creek. Every cabin and cottage is different and the setting is gorgeous -- meadow, redwood trees, gentle rolling terrain, and the very cool... More

We stayed at the Johnson House - it has a full kitchen, but be aware that there are limited cooking utensils. No problem for us, as we checked in advance, and knew that we needed to bring our own favorite skillet, noodle pot and popcorn pan. The deck has a panoramic view of the ocean. We stayed there five nights... More

St. Orres is the kind of place you go to get away from it all. There are no televisions, Internet, or cell service. (You can get Internet service in the main hotel/restaurant if you want to send a text or check your e-mail) The setting is beautiful. Many cabins and cottages have a partial ocean view and the grounds are... More
