This is not your 4-star hotel in a big city like San Francisco. It is rather an inexpensive option to sleep close to Yosemite Valley if you don’t want to spend the money at the Ahwahnee. If you can’t stand a little dust or a spider web, then stay away. But if you want to go hiking, enjoy the outdoors,... More

Rustic cabin, nice porch area. Cabin was hottt, one window air conditioner in main bedroom...not good when wanting privacy. WIFI would not connect inside or out. Owner was very pleasant. We stayed here due to our other hotel over booking room. Beds were comfortable, small refrigerator and small table.

Checking into the Groveland Motel and Village is much easier with a reservation, however, there is usually a spot for you in one of the spacious tents with air mattresses available before 10pm on most days. Long gone are the beloved teepees that used to dot this facility, only to be replaced by tents. However, if cash counts, it is... More

This is a ramshackle assortment of cast off trailers and abandoned RVs, tents and tenement like buildings that are barely habitable by rats. I would never ever ever ever ever go anywhere near this place again., It should be closed by the Health Department. Air conditioners don't work doors have gaps bugs can fly through. it is a travesty.

The Motel Groveland has been here since 1922. It is fun there. Store and market plus place to eat right across the street. I like the Motel. It is not a 5 star anything. It is geared for families and large mobile homes for big parties. Sometimes cob webs will appear with in hours. We had a clean room. It... More

The Groveland Motel has been around for a long time and very dated. But the rooms seem clean and they make up the room each with fresh towels each day. The WiFi even worked so I able to watch YouTube videos and check my email. Since there are no kitchens I would have like more than 1 outside table since... More

Even if you are a cheaper accommodation service good customer service is still everything!! You will not find that here. The women that checked us in was not friendly, if anything it seemed like us checking in was an inconvenience for her. Yelling at your staff or husband (couldn't quite tell) is also not recommended in front of paying guests.... More

I have stayed here several times over the years and always find it to be a welcomed retreat! Escape to clean cottage type atmosphere, with wooded surroundings. The staff is friendly and helpful and you can simply walk across the street for an excellent breakfast! Around the corner to the famous Iron Door Saloon or a few yards down the... More

Apparently, Groveland is only open for business about 6 months of the year - the rest of the time it's snowed in. This means the business' charge like wounded bulls for even mediocre accommodation. As they explained, they've only got a few months to make a year's income - probably why there's NO 'chain' type motel or hotel accommodation here.... More

This motel is very Spartan but also very inexpensive. It is right on the highway going to Yosemite and on the edge of Groveland. The place was clean and the people were very friendly. It is far enough from the road so the road noise is not evident.
