I have stayed here several times over the years and always find it to be a welcomed retreat! Escape to clean cottage type atmosphere, with wooded surroundings. The staff is friendly and helpful and you can simply walk across the street for an excellent breakfast! Around the corner to the famous Iron Door Saloon or a few yards down the... More

Apparently, Groveland is only open for business about 6 months of the year - the rest of the time it's snowed in. This means the business' charge like wounded bulls for even mediocre accommodation. As they explained, they've only got a few months to make a year's income - probably why there's NO 'chain' type motel or hotel accommodation here.... More

This motel is very Spartan but also very inexpensive. It is right on the highway going to Yosemite and on the edge of Groveland. The place was clean and the people were very friendly. It is far enough from the road so the road noise is not evident.

Very small dark uninviting room. There was no space to put a suitcase without tripping over it. The mattress, although firm, was so noisy every time one person rolled over or moved it woke the other person. Needs to be replaced. The bathroom was clean and the fittings appeared new, but no room to move, that was with only one person... More

Stayed one night and was far too expensive $88 - what a rip-off! The room was small and inadequate - pokey, dark and painted like a prison cell. No chair, just a stinky bed and a couple flimsy wire coat hangers. The added bonus was the bed bugs in room 8 - they were obviously starving for a feed and... More

For what it is- a motel- I found the place acceptable. The room was small and included a bed and a little wall-mounted TV, there were no amenities in the bathroom, and you're right next to the busy road. Since my fiance and I were on our way to go camping for a week, dealing with this step out of... More

First impressions are lasting impressions: What on first glance appears to be economical may in fact pose a risk to your health. We were in the Yosemite area and booked 2 rooms (cabins) for 4 people. During the day, the motel called and indicated that they were getting a lot of inquiries and indicated that we would be assigned Cabin... More

Well, i can just say that it is what it is. besides some rough edges around the corners id say it was well worth it for the price. the front desk clerk was very helpful and we were glad to pay such a minute amount compared to the other hotels in town.

OK, so here's the rundown: No shampoo - Oh well Ice maker broken - Pretty annoying Frog in shower - Funny Slugs on bathroom floor - Gross and creepy Bedbugs - Unforgivable!! Yes, I should have read everyone elses reviews before booking. I thought we were doing well to find a room for $115 close to Yosemite at such a... More
