We stayed at Sunset Inn for the second year in a row. We just love this place. The cabin we stayed in was just perfect. It is the perfect size for the two of us and has a kitchen so we can cook and prepare a lunch for a day in Yosemite. The property owners, Lauren and Bill, are very... More

I am lucky to have discovered this quiet and quintessential experience. There are three clean, comfortable and cozy cabins tucked into the woods, just far enough off the beaten path. Cabins have decks and patios with BBQ's. It's a great location from which to access great adventures in Yosemite. The hosts are friendly, helpful and hospitable. This is a year... More

Although just outside the National Park Sunset Inn is well located to visit the valley floor, Lake Tenaya and the Tuolumne and Merced Sequoia groves. After a few nights in San Francisco we arrived to find a peaceful and beautiful base from which to explore Yosemite. Lauren and Bill were very helpful and friendly and we really appreciated coming back... More

The Sunset Inn provided the perfect accommodations for our stay at Yosemite. My two grown daughters and I enjoyed the lovely, secluded setting. Our cabin had comfortable beds, an equipped kitchen, a deck, and a charcoal grill - just the thing for preparing our dinners and food to pack for lunches on our hikes in the park. Since the Inn... Nice place close to Yosemite. Lauren and Bill were very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in Larkspur and were disappointed that there was no microwave and had a small fridge, and so paid extra for king size bed ... I would have thought that the lack of other items would have been compensated by the the larger bed. A ceiling... More

We rented the homey one bedroom cabin that sleeps 5. It has a bedroom with a double and twin bed, a bath, and a family area with full kitchen, queen bed, a couple of rocking chairs and a kitchen table with chairs. It is well laid out. The cabin is cozy and decorated beautifully. It has a large porch overlooking... More

It was a pity we came so late and had to leave so early, for it was a very pleasant place to dwell. The cabin was tasteful and cosy, the hosts very kind. There was coffee and tea in the room, games, in fact it was a complety furbished little house. We got fresh eggs for breakfast from the chickens... More

My husband and I stayed in the Larkspur cabin from May 31 through June 4th. And what a piece of heaven it was! It is a little bit of a distance from the valley but after spending a full day surrounded by crazy people and crazy traffic it was so nice to come back to the cabin and have some... More

Sunset Inn is a lovely respite from the hoards of visitors to Yosemite. It's close enough to provide easy access, and yet remote enough to be wild and beautiful and quiet (the silence was perhaps the best part). The cabin we stayed in (Meadowlark) was comfortable, clean, and well appointed. The beds and the linens were exquisite. The kitchen had everything... More

I booked this place back in September 2009 when there were a lot of recent, and very positive, reviews on tripadvisor. What is interesting is that there has not been one since August 2009. Overall I was disappointed with the Sunset Inn and I think my main beef is the value for money. We stayed three nights in Sugar Pine,... More
