Agonized over where to stay for a 2-day visit to Yosemite and found this gem. Ambria was welcoming and didn't mind repeating tips and advice that I'm sure she's offered 1,000 times this summer to other guests. Plenty of AC and wi-fi to go around so kids were happy after long hot days in Yosemite. Morning breakfast included yogurt, homemade... More

My husband and I were very happy with our stay at this little hotel. We only booked for one night on our way from Yosemite to San Francisco, but we had a pleasant stay. The rooms are very small but clean and well-appointed. The wifi was free and fast and despite the close quarter and having a room at the... More

Jen and Doug, the owners of the Hotel Charlotte are amazing! Thank you so much for the part you played in making our wedding day the best day of our lives!!! Although we were married on Glacier Point, we had our wedding reception at the Hotel Charlotte. Everything was perfect! We stayed at the Hotel Charlotte two days before our... More

Both myself and my wife had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful hotel on the 22nd July 2015. Our room was both spacious and airy. What really enhances this hotel and makes it such a lovely place to stay is the staff. I would like to take this opportunity to express my profound gratitude to the owner of the... More

This hotel was fabulous, it was an old hotel left over from the days of the gold rush. The owners have done a wonderful job of maintaining it. Our family of 4 had two adjoining rooms that shared a bathroom. Both rooms were nicely decorated, a little small but what do you expect for such an old building. We loved... More

As a family of 6 visiting Yosemite we were looking for a property that offered plenty of space with hotel type facilities. We got this with the Hotel Charlotte. We booked a 3 bedroom house belonging to Hotel Charlotte in the nearby Pine Mountain Lake Resort. The house was about a 2 mile drive from the hotel. Firstly the house... More

One of two historical hotels in the cute town of Groveland that have been well restored and maintained. Hotel Charlotte's rooms are small but functional with air con and heaters, tub-shower baths and wifi. Breakfast was disappointing - a mediocre continental selection, with garbage receptacle and used silverware tray in the middle of the dining area, unwiped tables, and many... More

We found this place on short notice and made our reservation over the phone. We stayed in a small detached unit, which was perfect for a short overnight but not an extended stay. Clean but cramped. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was better than average (except for the packaged instant oatmeal), so we felt... More

A very nice old but updated Hotel in Groveland. The staff were very friendly and Jenn was particularly helpful giving advice on where we could stay next, Sutter Creek and Nevada City. The room was small but nicely decorated and furnished. The bar / restaurant was good and very popular with quite a good atmosphere. Groveland is essentially one street... More

This is a very sweet hotel in the middle of a dusty, Gold Rush, small town. I could not believe how unbelievably nice the staff were. It was high season and they were very busy, but so friendly as they went out of their way and did my laundry, let me borrow a fork to bring to my room, etc.... More
