We stopped in for one night with our daughter on her break from her gig as a counselor at a local camp. We were immediately charmed with the place as we were greeted by a nice young woman. We decided to book a second night for just the two of us after our daughter returned to camp late the next... More

This is a review for the Sage Guesthouse, located a couple of miles away from the Hotel, in a gated Golf Course Community. We were a family of 3 adult couples, and so the 3 bedroom, 2 bath guesthouse was a perfect choice. The living area is spacious, neat, clean, and offers all kitchen and laundry amenities for a multi-night... More

Good for 4-6 people. House is cool, very comfy. we all had a good sleep and enjoyed to stay here. Dinner: You must... More

We stayed here one night on the way to Yosemite and it was such a nice changed to the other, standardized chain hotels! Small rooms, yes, but nice and clean, excellent staff, very good food and just a very pleasant experience!

We've stayed in the vacation rentals in the past, but this time we opted to stay in the main historic hotel. What a treat! The rooms are so charming, albeit very small, but that is what I would expect with a funky historic hotel. The hotel isn't fancy, but what they do, they do it well. Great service, filling breakfast... More

Hotel Charlotte did not meet our expectations. The room was very small - a bed but no chairs. We expected vintage decor but found Ikea nightstands and a big-box-type vanity. Breakfast was advertised as a hot buffet but the only hot items were toast and Thomas' English muffins. We weren't the only ones who thought a hot buffet should more... More

I personally love small unique hotels, but this is a far cry from charming. We stayed in room 11 for a hefty price tag of $196 a night. The room barely fit our luggage in fact one of the luggage racks is in the bathroom. The 14 inch tv up on the wall is useless except for backdrop noise to... More

Dear ACRPlantation, I’m sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. The Hotel Charlotte is a historic hotel and therefore some of our rooms are quite snug. We make our best effort to convey this message on our website under the descriptions of each room. We do however have larger rooms for only $20 more a night that... More

We stayed in room #13 a one room "cottage" on the main property, just behind their restaurant. We heard the kitchen staff working long into the night, when we were trying to go to sleep. Very early the next day, noisy deliveries to the restaurant began which meant for an earlier rising time than expected. The tiny room had no... More

Dear Susan P, I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay and would not recommend the Hotel Charlotte to other guests. Our goal is that all guests have a lovely stay and it sounds like that was not the case for you. As you mentioned, you stayed in our cabin. This is our lowest price room... More

Just a really nice place to stay with very clean accomodations and pleasent and helpful staff. Parking behind hotel works well. We stayed two nights, one pre float and one post float of a two day float on the Tuolumne River. First night, room 9, second night room 11. Recommend 11 because of shower setup.
