We were looking forward to stopping at this hotel as the reviews were mainly favourable. However, we were very disappointed. We stayed at one of their guest houses which is about 10 minutes drive from the Hotel Charlotte. We stayed at the Lavender Guest House which on first viewing looked quite impressive but after a while we realised it was... More

I found this on the internet. Seemed to fit the bill - only 30 minutes from Yosemite. It is a quaint Victorian style hotel with a porch balcony overlooking the street. The rooms were clean and comfortable - nothing fancy. The surprise was when we went to dinner. We had gourmet fare. All of us ordered something different and each... More

My friend and I stayed at the Hotel Charlotte in May 2014. It is a cute Victorian style hotel in a small town outside Yosemite. Our room was clean but small with an eclectic mix of furniture. There was only one dresser with 3 drawers... so not a whole lot of room if you wanted to unpack. No safe/microwave/kettle/fridge. Ice... More

We've made three trips to the Yosemite area over the past three years. Each time, we've made sure to spend as much time as possible dining at the Hotel Charlotte. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is tons of fun. (Just to be clear: We haven't yet stayed the night here -- we stay with friends when we're in... More

Lovely place. We stayed here on our way to Benton Hot Springs. The food was great, the service was courteous and helpful, and the rooms were very comfortable. It was the perfect distance from San Francisco International Airport after a full day of travel from the East Coast.

Lovely venue, quaint little town. Great Mexican restaurant a couple of doors down. Staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help us with restaurant/takeaway recommendations and with our laundry. Rooms are a little noisy as it is a historic building - you can hear your neighbours showering but its not enough to spoil the lovely ambience... More

Full of charm and history, this old hotel made me smile. Had a very restful night preceded by a great dinner at the restaurant downstairs. An interesting conversation with employees Eric and Molly got me thinking about doing some serious hiking. Eric completed the Appalachian trail in 2010 and Molly has her sights set on El Camino Santiago. The Iron... More

From the time I booked our reservation to the time we departed, the wonderful owners and staff made us feel like dear friends. Hotel Charlotte is old west history combined with contemporary CA lifestyle and cuisine - our room was roomy, light and the bed was very comfortable. The food and drink are magnificent. The lamb meatballs, calamari, and strawberry/chard... More

Charm and history abound here. This hotel was built in this area that was serious gold rush territory. I saw a review that found this pricey but we got two charming small rooms for less than we paid for 1 room at another place within Yosemite. Many antiques with a shabby chic touch although spotlessly clean and comfy. An included... More
