We really enjoyed our stay art hotel Charlotte for 2 nights in April 2014. The hotel is probably equivalent to a very good UK b&b. The location is excellent for Yosemite; only 45mins from the valley and There is a great little general store up the road for stocking up on supplies for a day out. When we stayed the... More

If you are planning to go to Yosemite National Park, you probably looked around for accommodation options in and near the park, only to find out that the options are very limited and expensive. If you do not mind driving about an hour, Hotel Charlotte in Groveland, CA is an excellent choice. The hotel is about 24 miles from park... More

We stayed at the Charlotte last week and loved it! So adorably decorated and the staff was excellent. Sure the rooms are small, but very comfortable. If you're the type who wants to lounge in a hotel room all day this probably isn't the place for you, but as a spot to rest after a day of exploring it is... More

Hotel Charlotte is a historic hotel in a small but cute town on the edge of Yosemite national park. The staff were friendly and informative without being overbearing. We stayed in two rooms (decided to stay an extra night, and was charged the same as our first night despite it being an upgrade - thanks this was appreciated!). The breakfast... More

We loved the extremely helpful receptionist. Friendly and willing to provide us with cups of tea on demand a definite plus. Sadly the dining room was still closed but if the sample of chocolate and orange ganache cake was a taste of things to come, I can see the dinner menu being top notch. The room was fairly small and... More

Our room was fairly small ( not a lot of room either side of the bed) but very cosy and decorated in keeping with the building, a huge claw foot bath that was wonderful after a long day of driving. Good value breakfast, eggs made to order. Helpful and friendly staff. A perfect spot to base yourself when exploring these... More

The hotel is a typical old American guesthouse. Great atmosphere and really good breakfast. The parkinglot at the back is spacious. Location is good, near the Iron door saloon at the mainstreet of Groveland.

Great location, friendly staff and the best buffet breakfast I have had in a hotel in years. Our room #14, one of the more expensive, was ...meh just ok. Large but with spartan furnishings. Its windows overlook the mobile homes out back. The bathroom also large but with minimal counter or shelf space. The sink is also plumbed in reverse... More

Excellent room and service, authentic historic building and exceptional value for money. We were pleased that our room had a bath, but it's a pity the bath is in the bedroom rather than in the bathroom. The staff helped us to find a local tyre fitter when we had a flat tyre. We stayed in three different hotels in our... More

Hi all, This is long over due but I just wanted to commend Hotel Charlotte on their fantastic service and rustic vibe. My girlfriend and I came across a Living Social deal for a two night stay and afterward all I can say is that we were sad to leave and will be returning there again. It is truly a... More
