This was a lovely old hotel, complete with a haunted bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and decorated with antique furniture fitting for an old California settlement. Although it clearly has been here for a very long time, it did not have the musty odor that most old hotels in the woods has - everything was clean and fresh. The... More

We enjoyed a lovely 2 night stay over the MLK holiday weekend. We wandered around the town on Saturday and visited the museum (next to the library). It's quite something with historical artifacts and information, as well as cultural exhibits -- very well done and worth an hour. The hotel was comfortable and cozy. Antiques in every room with luxurious... More

It's tough to do a last minute trip to Yosemite without paying out the nose for a crappy place to stay somewhere not even in the park. This is a cute and cozy and affordable place to stay, (also not in the park). Groveland is a little locals-vibe town outside of the park (it's an hour drive to the valley),... More

Wonderful historic hotel. Very traditional B & B. Loved the ghost (Lyle), other guests had an encounter, we didn't. Spent two days. Breakfast the first day, Menu showed egg and bread dishes, but we're not available, Second day, fruit on the menu, but no show again.. Need to pick up the the quality for the price

I loved this place! We were checked in by Eunice and the Inn Keeper Peggy, who were both very friendly and inviting. The room was so nicely done There was a lot of love and attention put into the details, and where this can be over done and a bit tacky, These rooms were well executed. It was a great... More

This place is horrible! Do not stay here! You will regret it! To start there was a strong smell of Marijuana right outside of the building. We decided to ignore it. Then there was no cell phone reception plus the TV and internet were not working. I complained and they told me there's nothing they can do. We said ok... More

Just stayed at the Groveland Hotel for a corporate retreat and it was a perfect spot for our group. Peggy arranged for all of our meals, and there were numerous rooms for meeting spaces. Make sure to have Peggy plan a wine pairing - she has an incredible Wine Cellar that is not to be missed. Thanks Peggy for the... More

Check in was smooth and easy, room was clean and comfortable. Very good wi-fi. Peggy was full of interesting information. The bar served strong drinks. The food was fantastic. Quiet at night. Close to downtown Groveland and the entrance to Yosemite.

Dear Fellow Traveler, We had just spent an amazing day in Yosemite National Park and were heading back to the valley to catch our morning flight in Sacramento. We had seen the Groveland Hotel on our way to the Park and from the outside it looked quite quaint and had an air of Victorian Elegance. We figured that it couldn't... More

The Groveland Hotel was charming and very pleasant. We felt very welcomed beginning with the front desk staffed by Eunice to the two servers Ryan and Sue at the Cellar Door restaurant. Rooms were very pleasant and the food great at the Cellar Door. We will definitely return when visiting Yosemite National Park.
