Every bit as good as the reviews. Charming old hotel with mountain character. Excellent, friendly service, very comfortable beds, cute rooms. Rustic but very comfortable and cozy. Adorable old mining town. We had a great time!

Lovely relaxing retreat in the mountains. Lovingly restored old west charm with modern conveniences and excellent food. Staff was friendly and easy going. Bed was very comfortable. Nice outdoor space for reading and lounging. Too far from Yosemite for day trips; we stayed one night in the Valley then two nights here.

My husband and I came to Groveland on a quick weekend getaway from San Francisco. We were pleasantly surprised with the charm of the hotel. All of the rooms have unique names. The hotel, albeit old, was well maintained. We appreciated the nice touches that made this hotel extra special (robes, fireplace, bottled water and great service). An unexpected highlight... More

I had a wonderful stay at the Groveland Hotel, just outside the Yosemite National Park. The Staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms and facilities were excellent, and the food in the restaurant was very good. Special thanks to Kim for the local hiking information and Lorraine in the restaurant. All the best - Daniel Stephens

On hwy 120, 26 miles from Yosemite NP. Groveland is a little western town. I stayed one night november 2013. Hotel building is an old historic Monterey Mission style Adobe building originally 1849. Feels like early 20th century, the room was comfort, clean and charming. Specially the beds are extremeley comfortable. Staff&inkeeper were welcoming, very frendly and warm. Homemade complimentary... Great hotel and excellent location, the gateway into Yosemite. Special thanks to Joellen for being so kind and escorting us to our room to ensure we had everything we needed for your stay. We didn't bring our pet during this visit but it was refreshing to see and hear that they are pet friendly. See you again soon... K&P

They do not disclose there is a cat that lives in the hotel. You will see it at breakfast. For people with cat allergies this is dangerous. Luckily I had all my asthma rescue inhalers. But now that my trip is over, I am left with no voice and bronchitis. Please let your customers know there is cat dander in... More

Due to weather conditions we were denied entrance to Yosemite National Park. We had seen The Groveland Hotel on our way and had commented on what a charming building it was. So, we immediately turned around and hoped there were rooms available. What a wonderful and inviting atmosphere, so much like an Inn from the past. The rooms were very... More

My wife and I stayed at the Groveland Hotel while visiting Yosemite National Park. We stayed two nights, one night we ate diner at the Groveland Hotel and we had and enjoyable meal. Near Yosemite, comfortable, excellent service. You felt special and the hotel enhanced the Yosemite experience. Free wifi, but no cell service. Historic hotel with a dinning room from the gold rush era. Loved the comfortable furniture.
