Nice comfortable bed and hotel! The people were friendly and very accommodating. A refreshing place to visit after a long drive to rest up before heading into Yosemite. Great breakfast included too. I love historic places so this was a bonus for me.

When my wife and I tried to return to our cabin in Foresta in Yosemite NP after a day's hiking we were refused access because of a forest fire and a crashed fire fighting plane. With only the hiking clothes we were wearing and our wallets and credit cards we set off for Groveland where we found the Groveland Hotel.... More

We stayed here 3 nights while visiting Yosemite. The location was ideal as it's only about 40 min from the park entrance. The hotel itself is "historic", which means it's not updated. It was quite clean, however we would have preferred a better mattress as the one in our room was awfully soft and seemed like it needed o be... More

My partner and i loved this place. Yes the room was a little small and outdated but the place was clean, quiet and bed was so comfy (soft and fluffy). I loved the little touches such as chocolate biscuits on the bed when we arrived and a personalised welcome note. The staff were so friendly and helpful which was a... More

This is a lovely, quaint characteristic hotel. We were upgraded to a suite- so large room with separate lounge (leading directly onto restaurant patio) and lovely bathroom. Comfy bed, lovely soft sheets. complementary bottled water and delicious cookies on arrival. Free parking. Friendly helpful staff. Air conditioning wasn't very easy to operate, we tried everything to turn ours off/down. Good... More

I know this a historic in, but the room was cramped. I did not get the smallest room I actually upgraded and I would not recommend this size room for than 1 person. When we got to our room at 3 pm we told them that the TV and radio were not working. We told them again when we went... More

A workman came in to count all the light bulbs in the room just as I was getting settled, stepping over my luggage, etc., to do so. There was no regular coffee in the room, only decaf. The hotel did nothing to meet my request to the front desk except to say, "Yup. There's no regular coffee at the front... More

They've done a good job of maintaining the original historical integrity of this place and the people working there are very nice but the prices they're charging are rather steep for what you get. We stayed in the Lyle Room and while the building and interiors are pretty charming, it was a very small and stuffy room with one tiny... More

We stayed at the Groveland Airport Lodge with our family of 2 adults and 4 children in mid-August. We were in the area to raft. The Lodge was spacious and comfortable. It is not luxurious and there is a small problem with ants, but it was quite cosy and we're pretty easy going. The breakfast at the main hotel building,... More

My dad and I had an awesome day trip to Yosemite and were looking for a place to lay our heads for the night before a long drive the next day. This hotel was in a convenient location, so we decided to stop. The checkin lady was nice, but the rates are ridiculous for what you get. The room had... More
