Rooms were average clean, the breakfast gave us travellers diarhea for 4 days on, the laundry ruined our underwear- not a good stay for such a renown hotel. Unfortunate really. The only plus was the staff friendliness, especially Jo-Ellen at the front desk.

First trip to Yosemite with my boyfriend, we stayed in Lyle's room the first night and Hetch Hetchy suite the second night. Amazing service, we got to speak with the owner Peggy who was amazing, Shari at the front desk also very pleasant and helpful. Food in the restaurant breakfast and dinner was better than expected. My boyfriend proposed and... More

If you have to pay gratuity for being served the "included" breakfast in your stay, then I would not call this property a Bed & Breakfast. There is nothing particularly wrong with the hotel, except the ubiquitous teddy bears, but taking into account the price paid versus the value received, I cannot recommend it. If it were $100 cheaper, I... More

I love this hotel! It's super charming and rustic (and haunted). The rooms are all unique and smaller compared to chain hotels. The rooms are clean and adorable, this is my third time staying here. There is "the oldest saloon in CA" next door, the Iron Door, making staying here a super fun experience. Locals were super nice to us... More

The staff was extremely accommodating for our room and our precious dog. However the rooms are very small (#10) and it is very hard for a senior to climb up,on a bed that high. No space for luggage and hard to open bathroom door with pet mat in way. A very, very nice place if just two of you. We... More

Staff are excellent and helpful, we had great breakfasts before heading to Yosemite and a lovely evening meal outside on one night. Wi - Fi was weak although on a smartphone it said good conection but nothing happened. Strange robes offered in rooms looked well worn and due for change, but overall a good place to stay.

We stayed here before going into Yosemite which is about and hour away. The room was very small with two twin beds, a sink outside the bathroom. Our biggest complaint was we had to use the plunger almost every time we flushed the toilet. The pluming is very loud. You can hear the shower running several rooms away.

Stayed after a 17-mile dayhike up Half Dome in Yosemite; it is about an hour outside the park, in the quaint town of Groveland. We arrived late, with the restaurant closing at 9pm, but they stayed open for us and the service and food were excellent. Mary, our waitress, was helpful and friendly; Shelley suggested a great wine, and JoEllen,... More

We stayed here for two nights as part of a road trip. I'd selected this hotel because it said it had wi-fi (-an essential for us). It doesn't, except in the small bar area. This was very disappointing and a huge inconvenience. Also, the bathrobes left in our wardrobe, described as "cosy", have definitely seen better days - I didn't... More

Good Morning, Jannie7...thanks so much for your warm review - with the exception of our Wi-Fi.. A few months ago, we contracted with Conifer Communications in Tuolumne County to provide our Wi-Fi services. This company touts their services as the BEST of the BEST! When we contact them regarding guest complaints, they always say it's 'operator error', and suggest the... More

We spent 3 nights at the Groveland Inn as our jumping off point to a 4 day visit to Yosemite. Although a bit of a distance from the park, we felt as if we came home to comfort and cleanliness every night. The restaurant staff, Kristine and all the servers, the chef, well dinner and breakfasts were just perfect. Our... More
