Spartan but clean, air conditioner didn't really do much for the room, and it kind of froze up during the night and produced warm air. Old TV out of focus, but it worked. king size bed was OK. Didn't use the pool, but it looked nice, crowded. Window screen was falling off.

Our family had fallen in love with this simple, seemingly laid back family run quazi resort nestled in the charming village of Graeagle CA. This was our third visit in under a year. It offers a great location, rustic, humble well laid out property. The majority of the staff are lovely, but we ran into a a very mean spirited... More

We are bicycle touring the northwest. We have stayed at hundreds of these family owned motels over the last few years. The room was surprisingly good. The positives: friendly staff, large room, good a/c, good water pressure in sink and shower, good linens on bed and in bathroom, comfortable bed, quiet as long as you keep the a/c running(otherwise you'll... Don't expect a 5 star hotel here, just a 5 star experience. The price, family atmosphere and friendly employees make this one of the best places on earth. I absolutely love the prices, the amenities, and the location.

As an administrator for Ducati.ms, we had a West Coast meet for forum members. This was our second year to stay here. Not only is the proximity to many scenic areas close, the staff is super friendly, the pool area great, and the room is fabulous. My wife and I had a blast, and really loved the stay. We will... Love, love, love!!! Owners are friendly and accommodating. Rooms are very spacious; water pressure in shower is awesome! Food at lodge restaurant and other area eateries is absolutely delicious. Scenery is stunning. Will go back next year.

The room was dirty, there were spider webs in the kitchen, the cleaning staff was driving around the DIRT road with all the CLEAN sheets and linens on top of a golf cart, some of the floor heaters had NO knobs, there WAS ONE OPENING WINDOW in the bathroom, the stove fan switch was BEHIND the refrigerator, we found out... First thanks to unclejarhead for his review. I am sorry he doesn't come back and post the comments he personally received from us. River Pines Resort as are most of the resorts in the area, are resorts built in the late 50's early 60's and are constantly a work in progress. As was explained to Mr. Jarhead, we had just... More

Maybe we caught them on a bad day, but the folks working here have a lot to learn about customer service... And especially anyone traveling with babies, beware... Booked months ahead for a wedding (there aren't a lot of options as things get booked up in the summer) because they said they had pack-n-plays/port-a-cribs (we had an infant with us).... More

Let's start with the good. There was plenty of space in the room, it was fairly clean and the location is great. Graeagle is a great little town in the woods, perfect for a little time out of the city. Unfortunately, the bed was all springs and you could feel it. Super old, musty feeling cheap pillows. Worst night's sleep... More

Impeccably clean. TV worked well. Great lodging option for exploring Gold Lakes Basin. A little pricey for a small, old roadside motel.
