What a fantastic place! "Cookie" is one of the nicest ladies you'll ever meet. What a sweetheart! She checked me in and saw to it that I had one of the quietest "bungalows" in the place. Parking was very nice (and I felt that my Jeep was safe). The room was better than expected at the price, and the ac blew very cold. Nice tv, great coffee and a very comfortable bed! Whenever I find myself in the area again, I'll definitely give "Cookie" a call and reserve a room. Very highly recommended!

ALTHOUGH THE ROOMS WERE AS CLEAN AS A WHISTLE BEFORE... They have been redone in beautiful grey and blue, clean and calming, a short trip over to supermarket and we were able to barbecue at the pool, and have our dinner, although the local restaurants are inviting as well!!! The manager was very gracious, HOUSE KEEPERS GO ABOVE AND BEYOND... we had a wonderful family weekend swimming and enjoying each other at the beautiful swimming pool...

I stayed there 3 times and the first 2 times were good so I went back there a third time! But this time wasn’t that good! Me and my husband went to our room and their was a man from another room that kept walking back and forth pass our room constantly! He made me kinda nervous but I ignored it! Then around 1am in the middle of the night he calls my room asking me something about drugs and I told him I didn’t know what he was talking about! But I told the manager about the next morning! I don’t know what she did about it! But me and my husband checked out and went to another motel! We were going to stay 2 more nights there until that happened! I’m not saying that it’s a bad place to stay but that night was bad for me and my husband!

What a Gem... As you come under the train bridge "PRIDE OF THE FOOTHILLS" is what you see... And they are not playing around at the 20th Century, Rooms are clean to a fine tea, All of the House keepers are friendly and have a positive vibe, always glad to go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable, The Check in was quick and easy, Sue at the front desk is very informative and knows the area very well... Restaurants and diners are all around mostly pretty close, we walked up to fabulous "Legands" 50's style diner,

With sudden changes that life can bring,I made the decision and took a risk and moved to Glendora,ca.I rented a room at the motor lodge on historical route 66.2 month's ago. With short term stay in mind,I fell in love with location, mountains and the convenience of store's and shops close by. The swimming pool is not heated but clean and maintained often, The GM (Cookie) made me feel at home with her family spirit. Hskp staff is excellent and friendly! The rooms are immaculately kept, There are other long term stay's as well.Property is well groomed and most of all safe.I don't want to leave!!!

We have stayed here 3 or 4 times in the past while visiting family in Glendora and we have always been pretty satisfied. It is more of a vintage motel so you expect an older charm and we had always felt relatively safe and comfortable there. This time was different. We checked in, in the early evening after spending literally all day in transit and all we want to do was call our family in the general neighborhood to let them know we had arrived and sack out for the night. When I tried to use the phone in the room, there were no instruction on how to "get out" so I pulled out the guest book and flipped to the TELEPHONE page. All it said was that the phones were out of service. I ran up to the office to verify this. We are from out of country and using a cell phone would rack up not only long distance charges but also roaming charges for calls local to the motel. I realized the manager was not feeling well so I did not take offense when she stated that "Nobody uses the phones! I don't think they are even turned on!" I told her that I needed the phone for local calls. She came down to the room, tried the phone and then told us to dial 9 first. I was sorry to inconvenience her when she was ill but the guest book said they were out of service and there were not instructions anywhere. I will make the rest of this as short as I can: The carpet was so filthy that I wore a pair of socks all the time while in the room and threw them in the trash when we left because they were literally black. There was no hot water in the bathroom at night so showers had to be taken in the mornings. If I was successful in connecting to their WiFi , most of the time I was disconnected within a few minutes and could not reconnect. Lastly, these are non smoking rooms and the guestbook specifically states that smokers can smoke 20' away from the room. Well they have chairs outside each door, (actually is a nice touch for evenings) but other guests, possibly long term guests, have set up ash trays and sit right outside the doors smoking which is particularly bad for those of us with allergies to cigarette smoke. Also, though our chair sits right outside our door, someone would evidently smoke there when we were not there. There would be butts in a glass ashtray that someone perched on the bush next to our door and it would have new butts in it. We had not encountered these issues in our past stays. On a positive note: Housekeeping is still good. Those ladies are so happy, friendly, and helpful. They are the shining stars of this motel.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were very happy with the rooms and the location. If we needed anything Sherri was quick to help out. I would stay here again anytime I am in the area. It was a convenient location to take day trips to the mountains and the beaches.
