During a trip down the Pacific Coast we decided to stop in Glendale and found ourselves at the hotel Brandwood. Although it has no on site parking, the h and hotel offer free parking which is about a 3 minute walk on the Sears car park. We found this ideal, secure and convenient for what we needed. Upon arriving in... More

First the CONS: Yes, there is NO ELEVATOR! If you have mobility issues, this may not be the hotel for you. There are 50+/- more or less steps/very steep staircase leading to my third floor room (I stopped counting at 45 as I was catching my breath). The hotel uses the Sears Shopping Center parking lot which is a couple... More

Very nice staff and convenient location, but the room was rather dark and depressing. The bathroom and shower were excellent and well stocked with supplies. Our room was on the first floor and was just too dark. It appeared that there were rooms on one of the higher floors where one might get some light into the room. The beds... More

We stayed in hotel brandwood for 3 nights. We allready booked the hotel trough booking.com 9 months before the reservation date. On booking they were saying there was only one room left, so thats why I allready booked the room. 2 weeks before traveling I check booking.com for the hotel and it says they have still 5 rooms available and... I needed the location, but the choices were few. The Brandwood was the only choice. I bit the bullet and stayed there. But wait, it was actually...quite nice. No elevator, but the bellhop quickly came to help with luggage. The rooms were clean, well decorated, and had everything I needed. No exercise room or pool or food, but all of... More

Got this on Hotwire. Hotel is a long flight of stairs above a restaurant on Glendale's main street, Brand. Think 40's detective story old hotel. Rooms were another flight of stairs up from that, and were NY tiny. The bathroom was also quite small, but very clean. Bed was comfy. Strong odor of lemon-scented cleanser in hallways, a bit less... Had a wonderful experience at this hotel. We came out to Glendale from Phoenix for a wedding and I was happy I was able to find this hotel through tripadvisor. As others have written, there are a lot of stairs. Wasn't a problem for us and the front desk was more than happy to help with luggage. Parking wasn't bad... More

From reading the reviews I knew going in that parking and the stairs created an unusual access to the hotel. However, since I knew that before I stayed, it was not a bad surprise and everything else was great. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, not a lot of noise and the staff was very friendly. I stayed... More

I will start out by saying the room is very attractive and has a very comfortable bed. However there are too many quirky pieces here. First are the stairs to the second floor where our room was. There are many of them and very steep. And no elevator.very little room in the bathroom to set things. Very small room and... More
