We stayed in the Woodyard suite (I believe it was called). It was next to the main house so it had excellent privacy & it was just down the road from the best restaurants in the Sonoma area (The Fig Cafe, Star, and Glen Ellen Oyster...). I wouldn't stay anywhere else in the Sonoma area! The suite was very romantic!

Perfect for a romantic get away - the Zen Suites are so calming and lovely and romantic! And the location is very quiet. The hotel has two types of rooms, essentially - rooms in the main house (I imagine typical B&B sort of set up) and then 3 separate buildings housing suites(3 to 5 suites per building.) We stayed in... More

The Gaige House, in Glen Ellen, is hands down our favorite place to stay. Book the Zen suites The addition of the Zen suites makes it a spectacular stay with a lovely breakfast included. Bamboo lined walkway, luxurious linens, granite soaking tub, walk-in double shower, fireplace, sitting area, patio with loungers, and a zen atrium with a fountain that soothes... More

I stayed at Gaige House last year, in their main house. This year I wanted to take my husband to visit Gaige, since I had such a great experience last year. We booked the Zen Garden Suite and it is COMPLETELY worth the extra money. The tub is beyond comparison and the outdoor garden area is very relaxing. We stayed... More

Gorgeous quaint and property. Beautifully decorated rooms. We stayed on the ground floor in room 10 and had a little bit of our deck with chair to sit outside. Very nicely maintained garden and pool area. Very well presented and tasty brekfest. There is not many places like this in US - Europe - yes.

My wife and I recently visited wine country for our first getaway without our infant son - and we picked the perfect place to do it! Sonoma was a great draw, but our stay at Gaige House made it perfect. We went for the zen suite, and are so glad we ponied up the extra - it was like a... More

A lovely place to stay. Room was good size but lighting in room is poor. Staff is helpful. Grounds are beautiful with lots of outdoor space to explore and a huge deck to sit out on. The ever filled cookie box is a nice touch as is the daily wine and cheese offerings from 5-6 pm. Breakfast has many choices,... More

Absolutely loved our time here. Had a zen suite and it was just spectacular. I wish I could have stayed longer than one night! Three would have been better. Don't miss the happy hour - lots of fun meeting new people and enjoying the local wines. Check out the restaurant with a water fall nearby too!

a friend and client recommended this inn for us to stay in while working in the Sonoma Valley. if you travel in this area many places are billed as spa like or romantic, but in reality pretty noisy or or just ordinary. the Gaige House is the real thing. the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. the zen garden suite... Loved peaceful "Zen" touches of comfortable "studio room" with good clothes storage. Nice fireplace and small outdoor terrace (heavily shaded). Bathroom was large, with double vessel sinks and double shower. Good lttle wet bar and fridge set up. Only negatives were slighty cramped room size and slightly inadequate lighting for reading. A bit pricey but worth it. Pool, grounds and... More
