As noted, this "hotel" is not much more than a 70's motel, but that's okay. The rooms are smallish, standard motel design. But it had two comfy easy chairs, which is unusual and the King bed was also good quality - no sore backs in the morning. The chain smoking receptionist could have been a bit more welcoming but not... More

Individual rooms in a motel-style design. Portable radiators make room warm in winter. Be sure to ask for more towels- they only give 2 per room. No breakfast provided off-season, but great little natural market across the street with espresso, coffee and killer chocolate muffins. Good base for exploring Sonoma, Kenwood and Glen Ellen wineries.

We spent a very nice November weekend in the lodge. The room was very spacious, the king bed comfortable, the sink area had a lot of space for utensils, and the room was clean. The creek side sitting area looked nice, even though we did not really use it. There are a few more real advantages to that place. First,... More

Quiet, comfortable, clean, cozy and without a doubt the best value in this upscale region of trendy boutique hotels and big super spas. Located in a quiet area close to good restaurants, wineries, and a neat little grocery and deli.

As other mentioned, this is not the fancy inn/lodge but nice clean accommodations for a great price with the addition of super clean pool and spa. We had a room on second floor with king bed and the room was pretty big. The bed was excellent. Room has small refrig and ceiling fan. Furniture was simplistic. We enjoyed our stay... More

What a little gem tucked away in wine country, within walking distance of some fabulous restaurants and nightlife at a refreshingly slower pace. The staff was curteous and the property was clean and well-maintained. The only thing that could be improved upon would be to update the bathroom. Other than that it was the perfect place to stay and at... More

We stayed there for 3 nights last week and had an enjoyable stay. If you are looking for a quaint, out of the way spot, this is the one for you. Accommodations were fine (nothing fancy) and the rooms were very clean. Hot water is HOT, so be careful! Also beware of the beds being so close together. (I have... More

The rooms were very clean, bed comfortable, and we definitely would stay again. What was the most outstanding were the grounds - beautiful fragrant flowers and shrubs, gorgeous patio area for breakfast, quiet, and next to the creek. The front desk was friendly and gave us plenty of information.

Loved our stay there. Pleasant room, lots of hot water, thick fluffy towels, breakfast was great and the hot tub made it a perfect place to stay. Wonderful places to eat within walking distance and park close by to hike in. Would stay there again.

Glen Ellen is a trip back in time to the 1960's and 1970's compared with Sonoma and most of Napa Valley, and this is no a bad thing. Glen Ellen is a small community midway between Sonoma and Kenwood along Highway 12, but off this highway by about a mile. The lodge is not the most sumptuous nor modern accommodation,... More
