Glen Ellen itself was certainly not our favorite place in our wine country tour, as there was not much going on and the town was small. But I did not take that into consideration when writing this review as the inn itself was absolutely lovely. The staff was very friendly, the bed was plush and comfortable, the daily fruit/cookie basket... More

This is an incredible place to stay after a wonderful day of wine tasting. The room was clean and spacious, quiet, and very comfortable. Restaurants are within walking distance as well as a few wineries. The jetted tub and steam shower was the perfect way to relax after a long day!

This was a delightful place to stay. It was a nice size, with a steam shower and a huge jetted tub. There was a nice fireplace in the room. The bed was very comfortable and the room was really clean. There was a beautiful shaded sitting area just outside our cottage next to the bubbling little creek. There were grapevines... More

This was our first time staying in the Secret Cottages at the Glen Ellen Inn. We were pleasantly surprised with our delightful room and all of the amenities provided. Great location; very convenient to local wineries such as Lasseter Family Wines, St. Francis, Kunde, etc. The room was much more than we'd imagined, and included a spa tub, steam shower,... More

Glen Ellen Inn Enchanting...This is the second time we have stayed at the Secret Cottages and they are certainly wonderful. The restaurant itself, which is on the main roads into Glen Ellen is very elegant and looks especially charming at night. The sign that says oysters no Martinis is very inviting. Food is very good, as expensive as most Sonoma/... More

Had the bison burger with grilled onions that was outstanding. The crunchy fries were the best I've had. Quaint locatio. Friendly staff. It's a must! Very small nice town. If we're ever close well come back.

Following a conference, my wife and I wanted to stay somewhere other than a big chain hotel for the remainder of our time in California. The Glen Ellen Inn was just what we were looking for, out of the way, quiet, and absolutely amazing. We were in cottage 2 and there was a big Jacuzzi tub in the corner of... More

We choose this inn after extensive searchs and were happy with the property. Very private and beautiful room that overlooked the stream and surrounded by trees and a small patio where we drank wine at night and listened to the stream. Dinner at Glen Ellen was wonderful, delicious food ... would return

Service was leisurely and friendly, and menu offered a variety of choices. Martini menu was extensive as was oyster menu, both things this restaurant is known for...and deservedly so. My blackened halibut was excellent but my husband was not crazy about his ciopinno--too tomato-y for his taste. We sat right by a window and enjoyed our view.

We were not sure what to expect on our first trip to Sonoma, but this was a pleasant surprise. The cottages are modern and beautiful, with lovely Jacuzzi tubs, steam showers and fireplaces. The setting, overlooking a creek, is very pretty and is within walking distance to the quaint little village center. I suggest breakfast at the Glen Ellen market.... More
