I have to note several things that I loved or liked about the Hope-Merrill house (I didn't even walk into the Hope-Bosworth house and it could be a completely different experience...): -An amazing breakfast with such delicious options like a cherry tart, chili eggs, homemade scones, local honey-butter, on and on... -Great location- I had never been to Geyserville before... more

Dear Cosette and Ron, We hope this will convey to you how much we enjoyed being included in your wine maker's dinner. What a great evening! The scene is warm and welcoming. Embracing you as a warm sea does —with a sigh—effervescent and comforting. The wine flows, and with a spark from our hosts, the fire of conversation is illuminated,... more

The room we stayed in was dark & depressing and not well maintained. The fireplace didn't work, the wind blew through the old windows ( making for a cold night ), the soaking tub was well worn and the clothes hangers are permanently fixed in the closet (something a cheap hotel would do). The breakfast was good but it didn't... more

Located in the more casual of the two houses, the Oak room is essentially three rooms in one - tub room, sleeping room, and toilet room. The jetted tub is fabulous (and huge)! We used it no less than 5 times in our three night stay and I loved the feeling of privacy and luxury that it being a separate... more

What a lovely place! We stayed in a room that had all the charm that a cozy Victorian B&B should have. A short rundown--the bed was amazing and very comfortable, the bathroom was clean and there were plenty of towels, and the breakfast was varied and interesting. This is our second stay here and will visit again. more

My wife and I attended the Pick and Press event in Sept '07 and had a wonderful time! Cosette and Ron are wonderful hosts and we were sad to leave. The property is kept up very nicely and is perfectly located for exploring the upper Sonoma Valley. I would recommend the Hope-Merrill or Hope-Bosworth Inns to anyone. more

Geyserville is not a large place, just a short section of old store fronts along a road that dances along side 101. An advantage of the location is quick access to the Alexander Valley and the north end of Dry Creek. The notable Santi restaurant is a five minute walk and highly recommended. The Hope B&B is actually two properties... more

Spotted by driving out of Healdsburg , its out of the way, & you will have to travel into Healdsburg for food & entertainment. Excellent Victorian style inside . Owner is nice, prehaps slighty manic . Breakfast is unusual but all home cooked; communal table , with required introductions may not suit all . Other visitors seem from SF, on... more

First, I have to say that I have never felt more "at home" or comfortable at any other lodging -- whether B&B or hotel, and the owners weren't even there! The lady who was running the inn in their absence was extremely nice and inviting to my husband and I. Whenever she saw us (either leaving or coming in), she... more

B&B's are a relatively new lodging experience for me but Hope-Merrill was outstanding. Beautifully decorated with an inviting heated pool in the backyard. It's in a quiet location (no highway/street noises) but close to large number of great wineries. The hosts truely make you feel welcome. Breakfast was delicious and filling. At the end of the meal, Cosette shares her... more
