Clean rooms, enough space. Free cheese, toast and wine was great. Chardonnay was a good wine and it was free, extra service of Best Western. To bad that you can smoke (pot) on your balcony, we were stoned too. Overall, it was a good place to stay on our way to Napa.

Conveniently located just south of the Avenue of Giants. Rooms had modern decor; comfortable queen-sized beds with fresh smelling down covers and pillows; two bathroom sinks. We had a mini refrigerator that didn't work. Great breakfast bar! Friendly staff. Free fast wifi. Also noticed a heated pool. Didn't use it, though. Another note-no nearby restaurants. Arrived here at 6pm and... More

My wife and I stayed one night at the Best Western Plus Humboldt House Inn during early October 2012. The property appeared to have gotten a lot of use over the years and could use a deep cleaning, but to be generous I could say we were guests at the tail end of another long season of sightseers to the... We don't usually stay at Best Westerns, but we really enjoyed our stay. The staff is wonderful. We even got an early check-in and we had not made a reservation. Happy hour wine and cheese and breakfast is included. We would definitely stay there again when we go to the redwoods.

This hotel was quite pleasant with large and clean rooms. The staff were very pleasant and the breakfast was very good. On the down side, the rooms were very dark and the town was extremely disappointing. We have been in the US for almost a month and it is the first time we didn't feel safe, because of the many... We normally stay at modest or budget motels, so this was a much more expensive place than we normally choose. However. Research revealed that in the Redwoods your choices are cheap and sketchy or expensive. It seemed like this BW was our best option. It was great. We had great service at check in, check out and in the breakfast/happy-hour... More

It was great to come across the Best Western after an exhausting day driving up the coast. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because based on the availability in the town and the rates of other places it was quite high in price and we were put in the furthest room away from the front... Stayed one night on our way to the Avenue of the Giants. Staff were very friendly and pleasant. Breakfast was good and the 'cheese and wine happy hour' was a great bonus. We stayed in August and for a family of 4 it cost £110 for the night - good value for money considering the free parking, on-site laundry, breakfast... More

This Beat Western is a good, solid motel near the redwoods. The land area owned by the motel is minimal, so it is all parking lot, swimming pool and buildings. It is in a little town, near the northern freeway (US 101) entrance and exit. My wife and I were travelling with our daughter and two granddaughters. I made the... More

Recently spent 2 nights here while visiting Humbolt State Park. Room 209, very nice. Staff very helpful and friendly. Our room seemed brand new, very clean and well furnished. We would gladly stay here again. Very convenient for exploring Avenue of the giants and Humbolt Stae Park. Looked like it fills up fast, so reserve early if possible. Well priced... More
