Spent a night here as part of our 25th wedding anniversary road trip. Always one of our favorite Inns to stay at, and we were once again so happy to be back. Must be our 6th, 7th…8th time staying! Love the terrace rooms with sitting on the back patio with a glass of champagne…wait, I'm booking us again!

Thank you for your kind comments and joining us on your anniversary. Now that the weather has warmed up and the Eel River level is high, the Terrace Rooms are a great place to relax and enjoy the back lawn and the redwoods. We look forward to your return visit. More

Benbow is a very pretty historic inn near Humboldt Redwood State Park. The rooms are very nicely decorated, and for being a historic inn they are in very good condition. The bathroom has very nice bathroom products. The beds are very comfortable, but the walls and floors are very thin. You will hear your neighbors, but people that stay here... More

Thank you for your review. Our menus change with each season and our kid's menu includes many favorites for our younger guests. We have also recently completed a new kid's sport court in addition to our splash park that opened in July of last year at the Benbow KOA. We also liked your photos. We look forward to your return... Love this hotel! We always look forward to staying here. We've stayed in several of the rooms, and each has it's own charm. The food in the restaurant is incredible, and the desserts are out of this world! As always, we look forward to afternoon tea, with the outstanding scones, the sherry in each room, the staff that has become... More

My family has always gone here on an annual or biennial basis. We stayed here recently on an off season package. My parents had the Garden Cottage and my family had a room in the main hotel. Everything is as it should be, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay - especially the sherry!!! Loved the decor in the main lobby... More

We're fortunate to live on the West coast. Trips down 101 are a joy year after year. When we drive this classic route we always try to book a stay at the Benbow Inn. Tucked onto a high bank of the Eel river this historic hideaway is custom made for the appreciative traveler. (In it's early years it was the... More

We appreciate your comments. Many of our guests who travel the 101 find our location to be an excellent stop-over location in the heart of the redwoods - provided they see us. Although our sign is small, during the summer months, the inn and our terrace is covered with small white lights and is visible from the 101. We hope... More

My husband and I have stayed at Benbow four times over the years and find it to be consistently charming. The location of the inn, near the Eel River with the big trees all around, right off highway 101 is great. The last two visits we have stayed in the historic building. The rooms are small, cozy and comfortable. The... More

My husband and I stayed at the Benbow for the weekend following Valentines Day. We had received a gift certificate from family as a wedding gift. The certificate was for a romantic weekend package but when I called to make the reservation way in advance (early January) they were willing to upgrade our room and apply the certificate to the... Friends of ours go to the Benbow Inn every December as a pre-holiday getaway. They asked us if we wanted to go with them this year, and we said yes. We were there the first weekend in December. And it was COLD. (In the 20s and 30s -- cold for me!) A light dusting of snow was on the hills,... More

I recently had the pleasure to stay at the Benbow Historic Inn. What a charming hotel. The staff is so friendly. I had a field day taking photographs for my photo blog.
