After reading other reviews, I was a bit weary checking in. Indeed, the hotel is designed like a motel - a collection of low-rise buildings, with a pool/courtyard in the center, except it has inside corridors. We chose the Piccadilly Inn due to its proximity to the Save Mart Center. The front desk clerk was very friendly and efficient, and checked us in long before the 3pm arrival time. The room was very large and comfortable. All rooms have internal front doors, and a key card is required to access the building except via the lobby.... more

Traveling alone, I did not feel safe or comfortable at this motel. The lobby is not connected with rooms and one has to walk outside in the dark parking lot in order to get to the rooms. The attendant called out my room number so that all standing in the lobby could hear. more

I never noticed any crime or bad people around the Piccadilly Inn University. I know they do have a nice inviting pool. The rooms are clean and they are right accross the street from Fresno State which is why my parents frequently use this hotel and they love it! Not far from Savemart Center either. more
