It's the place to stay near Eureka, e.g. to break up a long trip to SFO. Very friendly and helpful staff. Biggest rooms ever seen in a hotel and very well kept, very clean. This is a newer Comfort Inn in an area of Northern California that does not have a lot of good hotels. While the rooms are rather plain they are large and well equipped. The hotel is just west of town with easy freeway access. We used the hotel as base camp for the Humboldt Redwoods State Park and it worked... more

They should put families with children downstairs and couples upstairs. You can hear the kids running around and playing with their toys and it is loud but other than that, it is a nice hotel. more

This hotel has fantastic beds! We stayed in three different hotels on our trip and everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were at this hotel. The room is large, comfortable, and decorated pleasantly. Our room was very clean and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again! more

Stayed here for one night, our room was complete (including free internet) and very, very large. Other than that, nothing particular special about this hotel, but OK when travelling. Had some trouble finding our way to downtown Fortuna during the evening for dinner (quite dark). Breakfast was straightforward but OK. Close to the highway though. more

We stayed here two nights in the same week. The first night was fine, no complants and a good nights sleep. The second time, later in the week, we were given room 205 in the front of the hotel. The truck traffic on the road in front kept waking us up. So this is a good place to stay IF... more

this was a very nice and comfortable place to stay, there was just a slight issue with small ants on the toilet seat in the tub and 3 ants in our bed. They didnt bother us in fact we laughed about it. We were not dissappointed. more
