My husband and I checked into Colmar Tropicale on a Thursday night and left the place on Saturday. Overall, the location of the whole resort is pleasant. We were placed in a King-sized bedroom with a balcony facing the forest. The service from the staff was pleasant as well. However, when we entered the room, the room smelled of residual... More

I went to Colmar several times. It's good to visit there to take some photo and breath in fresh air. Don't go there on weekend or holiday since it gonna be so crowded. There are few choice for eating with almost high range of price.

First time staying, a very good experience staying. The receptionist was friendly and courteous. Guiding me the location of my room, refund of my entrance, breakfast location(restaurant), free access areas on a map, etc. There was also some staff that wanted to lead me to my block where my room was. Stay at Euphorbia 5306 (deluxe), top floor of the... More

The superior room looks average, the floors are made of wood, comes with twin bed, one table, a small TV, a toilet with a little rust on the bath tub, towels but no disposable slippers and one window overlooking to the square. I don't mind the rust on the bath tub and sink since I am not really choosy when... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights (again) a few days ago. After a slight unpleasant experience with a sour faced receptionist , the atmossphere changed positively with the arrival of the duty manager, Mr. Leo who apologised for the unpleasantness. Leo, the ever pleasant and hardworking manager found a very good room within 15 minutes. He personally escorted... More

How do you describe a place in Colmar, France? Nothing beats the Berjaya Group of making one instead. The group definitely has gone there as well as replicate as much as they can in order to present a similar French Village at Bukit Tinggi, Pahang. Welcome to Colmar Tropicale, which translates as Colmar at tropical weather. I have been to... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Colmar Tropicale was modeled after 16th century Colmar town, north east of Alsace, France, also incorporatingarchitectural designs and elements from ancient surrounding villages of Riquewihr, Turckheim and Kaysersberg. The realization of this French themed village derived from the wish list of the Malaysia's fourth Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad, who upon his visit to the region of Alsace were so impressed, that it inspired Tan Sri Vincent Tan, the founder of Berjaya Corporation Berhad to replicate the actual Colmar town in Malaysia. The resort comprised of 235 rooms and suites, offers 8 food & beverage outlets / lounges with food variety ranging from local & international cuisine to an authentic French fine dining restaurant. It also offers meeting rooms and banqueting facilities. ... more   less
