The accommodation is comfortable, with good facilities including a pleasant bathroom, and a small kitchen for making your own snacks and drinks. The gardens are a delight, with fruit trees, rose bushes - and cheeky cats everywhere! The Peace Garden with its central Peace Tree - a dead tree, but covered with clooties and prayer rags - sums up the... More

This small lovely inn in a rural setting was a great location for exploring the Galilee. Gefen greeted us warmly with a broad smile in flawless English. Our large room had a separate living room with couches that converted to beds, perfect for our grown kids. We had hoped to hike, but the rain detterred us, so instead we drove... More

My husband and I, along with a friend spent two nights here in a two bedroom apartment. The setting was lovely, the location was good for touring the Galilee and the hosts were great. Breakfast was delicious as was the one dinner we enjoyed here.

We stayed at this property for 2 nights toward the end of a family visit to Israel. Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome from our host. The views from the property were breathtaking, and the grounds themselves were beautiful and well maintained. The rooms, however, while spacious, could use a facelift. We stayed in the two bedroom villa with... More

One of the highlights of our trip was our wonderful time in Arbel at the Shavit's family guest house. Our only regret was staying one night and not longer. Issac, Sara, and Geffen all deserve great credit in creating such a unique welcoming inn. You an see it is truly a labor of love. Arbel's only drawback is it is... More

We spent three nights at this guest house. This was one more than we originally intended. First of all, the location is great. It is just outside of Tiberias. You feel remote but you are close to a city. We walked 10 mi. of the Jesus Trail and ended up at this guest house. The owners love what they do... More

I just returned from a terrific ten-day tour of Israel. The Shavit Family were extremely warm and friendly hosts. The food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this guest house as it was a memorable part of our visit to the Golan area.

Months and months ago, we tried to make a reservation at this place and the website we were on indicated that it was not available for the night, so we booked another place nearby. We had been hoping to enjoy the Shavit Family's famous cooking. When we arrived in town, after hiking all day (over 15 miles), we stopped in... More

Thank you for the review. I am happy that you like our cool drink and that my father is kind gentleman (: I am very sorry for your experience.. I am afraid that we can't promise to serve guests that not stay at our guest house Since we are only two or sometimes three persons that work at the restaurant... More

We arrived late afternoon without reservation, fortunate to get the last bedroom for 1 night. It was amazing! Our hosts were very kind and cooked amazing dinner and breakfast. Took a trek up Mt Arbel for the view of the lake (and exercise!) and left amazed. We would have stayed longer if only our itinerary allowed it. Thank you!

Our family - including small children - stayed at the Arbel Guesthouse from 24th to 26th Feb 2015. We had a wonderful holiday made all the more special by the Shavit family. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. We arrived late and Sarah and Israel Shavit provided pizza and juice for the kids. The breakfast's were incredible -... More
