My hubby and I stayed here, thinking that it was the old Apple Tree Inn, but it had been bought out by the Tenaya Lodge and now is the Tenaya Cottages or Cabins- right next to their huge ugly hotel. We experienced a big disappointment as we always came 2-3 times per year to the Apple Tree as after experiencing... More

We stayed at the Tenaya because of it's location near the south entrance to Yosemite. Be warned that while it is very close to the south entrance, it is quite a drive to the Valley, where we spent most of our time. Upon check-in, we were told our room was a deluxe room with a balcony. In fact, the balcony... More

This hotel is way too expensive, and poorly built. You can hear other guests when you are in your room from early in the morning until late at night becuase of how shoddily the hotel was built. The spa packages are advertised incorrectly, leading you to believe you are going to receive something you never get, by the time you... More

We spent 2 nights at Tenaya Lodge during our hiking trip to Yosemite in April 2009. Hotel is located 28 miles from Yosemite's Vistior's center, So it took an hour (be cause of 35-mile speed limit throughout the park) each direction every day, but it is a scenic drive, and coming back at night to this cozy place was great.... We stayed for 2 nights & wish it could have been longer. The rooms were comfortable. The amenities were great. My kids loved the pool that was open till midnight & the wonderfully hot jacuzzis., plus the selection of board games from front desk. Free internet access was also a big bonus. Beautiful outdoor fire pit, & log fires inside.... More

I awoke from night three, after running the air for the first time and felt sick. I knew it was mold, I've had allergic reactions to mold before and can strongly smell it as soon as it builds up in my lungs. I immediatly went outside and my husband inspected the room before calling management and found visible black mold... More

We stayed for three days and loved the lodge. But the drive to the valley for hiking and sight seeing was just too much each day. We could have tented in Curry Villiage but it was just too cold. The traveling time was overcome each night by the hot tub and a couple of beers at the bar. outdoor firepit... More

My family and I stayed at the Tenaya Lodge for 2 nights in April. There was still some snow on the ground which added to the special feel of the place. All staff we encountered were helpful and very friendly. We ate breakfast and dinner at the Sierra Resturant both days and the food was good. Be prepared for a... More

It wasn't ours. Too big and commercial. Felt like clients in = $$$$$ in. Also poor dining experience at Dinner; poor, mis-represented meat (steak). Bear in mind it's a one hour car trip, on very bendy, tricky road from Lodge to get properly into Yosemite. Take the $88 tour offered by Hotel Concierge; sounds expensive but worth every penny.

We planned our trip to USA for a White Christmas and Tenaya Lodge did not disappoint. On our stay it snowed overnight and as it was our first snowfall on our trip it was our most exciting. Lobby was filled with a huge Christmas Tree and it was the real picture book christmas lodge. Restaurant had great food, rooms were... More
