My husband and I (and his parents) stayed at the Tenaya Lodge for 2 nights, 10/9-10/10/06. We booked the rooms on line at a special off season rate and were not disappointed. The service and rooms were way above average. I thought the rooms were nicer than the Intercontinental Hotel room we had in London! Plenty of room for my... More

What a pity! It is a very beautiful and comfortable lodge but it is not clean. We had a deluxe king room and it was big and confortable, with good furniture but the bathroom was a bit dirty. Same thing for the grill restaurant, dirty, even if the food was good. The pool....was really dirty!!! we wanted to relax in... More

We stayed at the Tenaya Lodge for 3 nights in late September, we loved it. The location is excellent for exploring Yosemite. I would guess a 15 minute drive to the south entrance of the park and 20 minute drive to the giant sequoia trees. The rooms were lovely and clean. Nice beds with comfortable / clean and nice bedding.... More

Rooms are OK. Employees are polite, but not unusually so. Rooms can be noisy, particularly near elevator. Nothing particularly luxurious except the price. About an hour from the key Yosemite facilities. While it has a AAA 4 diamond rating, we didn't really experience anything that makes it particularly special.

My wife and 2 children aged 11 and 14 y.o stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is located about 2 miles from the South entrance of Yosemite. This entrance is very close to the Sequoia forests and about 25 miles from the Yosemite Valley. Location was very convenient for exploring the Park. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and... More

A large hotel, with two excellent restaurants and an unusual but quite useful "deli" where our teen ager could eat a cold breakfast, large, comfortable room with two beds for two adults and one 17 year old. The staff was quite friendly. The only gripe was that we had to pay extra for internet access. I understand the hotel grounds... More

The lodge itself and the rooms are basically nice and it was pretty quiet there. The area and of course Yosemite is breathtaking. Having said that, don't go there for the food. It was very disappointing and very over priced! There really are no other options to eat, but next time if I stayed there I would bring in my... More

We stayed here for two nights and were really happy with the hotel's proximity to the park. Although it's quite a long drive to Yosemite Valley, we were prepared for that and so the distance didn't bother us. The room was clean and neat, and we were greeted well at reception. The kids were thrilled with the pool and spa... More

I checked tripadvisor often and was rather scared with some of the reviews. However, I found the hotel to be better than expected. Many reviewers complained that Tenaya Lodge is about an hour drive from the Valley. True, but on the flip side it is only a few miles from Mariposa Grove (where the redwoods are) which is at the... We stayed 3 nights at the Apple Tree Inn using it as a base to go into Yosemite and enjoyed the experience. We had a 2 bed suite and were impressed with the size of room and overall cleanliness and condition of the hotel, it's obvious that they take pride in the appearance of the inn and it's gardens.
