This was our first time visiting Yosemite. After the drive up from San Francisco we wanted a comfortable hotel so we would be refreshed for our next days touring of the Park. This was a good choice as it is very well located. One of the Parks entrances is just a minute down the road. You can drive in there... More

Just returned from our first weekend in Yosemite and we stayed at the Tenaya Lodge. One of the main reasons we chose this place was because they allow dogs. A lot of places around Yosemite don't and none of the hotels inside the park do at all. We certainly weren't disappointed. We arrived late on Friday evening. It was pretty... More

The rooms are well decorated and cozy, i recommend the cottage suites. however the food is really bad and overpriced. Service was average/not great. Many things were not running that we were expecting (kids activities, the pizzeria) which was a little disappointing. Next time i would probably stay down in the Valley floor. Yosemite itself is glorious, and something I'm... More

Hi, thanks for your review. While we're delighted that the cottage suites room earned five stars, we are sorry that your meals were disappointing. Would you share with us via direct message which Tenaya Lodge restaurant(s) you dined with, and possibly what menu items did not meet your expectations? We really appreciate the feedback, and thanks again for staying with... More

Lovely, first class facility. Beautiful grounds and service. Great food with super ambiance. It's a wonderful surprise to find in the backwood. We had an excellent dinner on the patio, which had fire pits with gas burners to keep the chill away on an early fall evening. The breakfast buffet is fantastice. It is worth the price.

Stayed here on tour of Yosemite and region. It's a short trip trip to the park and makes it even more pleasurable. It's a huge country lodge with massive rooms and great amenities. You are really taken care of here, the staff are so attentive and willing to help in any way. Food is varied, and the facilities are at... More

The Tenaya is a beautiful, clean & friendly property. Rustic looking, but totally modern, it is located just outside the southern entrance to Yosemite. We had a delicious dinner on the patio of the Sierra Restaurant. The staff was very helpful. I'm sorry that we only spent one night there.

Nice welcome. Beautiful Hotel. Easy Check in. Pretty Cottage. Large clean upper suite room (2 double beds one in separate room). Instant Log effect fire - very welcome as temperature had dropped to around freezing as we arrived. Good food at Sierra restaurant on site. Very comfy bed. Easy drive up to Yosemite Falls and surrouning beutiful countryside. Back at... More

Not sure where some of the "haters" reviewing this beautiful haven stayed, but we've just come from a wonderful weekend at Cottages of Tenaya. We stayed in 512, and loved it: well lit, openable windows, effective shades to allow or disallow forest light at your command. Full deck overlooking real trees... very restorative. Private, but you're still near the other... More

We booked 2 nights at Tenaya to help break up a long drive from Las Vegas to San Francisco. Though it's a little out of the way, it's quite a nice place. It's clearly a higher-end resort (not just some shack in the woods). There was lots of outdoors'y style activities, so if you're at all an outdoors person, there's... More
