Great value so close to Yosemite. Only 5 minutes away, so you can go back in later in the evening again. Better than the park hotels, great activities for kids and adults, and a great pool / bar scene

The cottages are perfect for families. Comfortable space. The grounds are better described as gardens. Beautiful! I recommend the hammock and a book. Archery was a hit with the kids. Next time we plan to try the horseback riding. My only suggestion would be the addition of a lifeguard or at least someone to keep the kids from getting out... More

We stayed in the cottages and we enjoyed the peaceful and quiet atmosphere. A short walk takes you back to the main hotel and amenities. The spa is wonderful with many choices of services. This is also a great place for families and is only 2 miles from the south entrance to Yosemite.

Stayed in the newer, contemporary rooms, which were great. Downsides are food (expensive but nothing special), great pool but not adequate seating and odd housekeeping practices. Great location, friendly staff and fun for families.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Autumn. We’re so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay and were able to check out our new room design – coming soon to the whole lodge; we’re excited! We’re also pleased the staff delivered friendly service. However, we’re sorry to hear you were a bit perplexed with housekeeping and would love to hear... More

Our family of 4 went to Yosemite in July 2014 and stayed at the Tenaya Lodge for 3 nights. In summary, I think the Tenaya Lodge has fantastic staff and beautiful common areas (lobby, pool, etc.), but the bedrooms were in need for some serious remodeling. Sunday We left the Bay Area for a 3.5 hour drive including breaks -... More

Thanks for sharing your experience, Shuweb. It’s great to know your family was able to have tons of adventures using Tenaya as your base camp! We appreciate your kind words for our staff and are glad you received a warm welcome, and are glad every family member was able to enjoy some fun time in the pool. Lodge room remodels... More

This is a nice place but it isn't new and felt a little old - not historical old but more the tired old to me. It lacked atmosphere. Overall I didn't think it was worth the price charged (just over $500 a night for the executive deluxe is crazy). Compared to all the places I've stayed in the past, I'd... More

We appreciate your feedback, Kimberly. We’re pleased you received excellent service throughout your stay and were able to get great guidance from our concierge, as well as that you enjoyed some of our onsite entertainment. However, we are sorry you felt that your experience with us was not worth the cost of your stay. Summer is certainly a very busy... More

We stayed here for two nights whilst visiting Yosemite. To be honest wasn't our first choice but as booked late there were no suitable places in the valley for our family. First the positives. The communal areas are nice, spacious and spotlessly clean. The various restaurants serve palatable food at high end prices and the further up the 'quality' ladder... More

Thanks for your comments, DJAV. We are glad your family found plenty of tasty things to eat, even the hungry teen members. : ) Buffets tend to have that effect on people! It’s also great to know you received top-notch and friendly service throughout your stay and enjoyed relaxing by the pool. We are sorry to hear you felt you... More

This is a beautiful hotel with a lovely Native American theme throughout. Although it is just outside the park a bit, it is worth it considering the amount of money you save. The room includes a mini fridge and vanity area separate from the tub/shower and toilet. The setting is wonderful and the spacious pool area (one for children and... More

This is a beautiful Yosemite hotel, much more modern than the others, so it is worth staying here, even though you are an hour away from the Valley floor by car. The lodge entrance, main building and pool areas are stunning. We stayed in the cottages up the hill, which I would HIGHLY recommend doing as they are very private,... More

1 - The room (201) has ABSOLUTELY NO VIEW. We saved our money to visit what is considered the most beautiful place of the USA. We spent over $1200 for a 3day stay to look at ANTHENAS. 2 - The room is the closest one to the elevators (extemely noisy). We asked to be moved to another room and front... More

We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed in your room, cimu0209, and appreciate you sharing your thoughts. Our website does explain that we are not located inside Yosemite, rather a few miles away, so we apologize for any confusion it sounds as though a third-party site may have caused. We are happy to accommodate guest requests to move rooms as... More
