The ceiling in the bath had black mold growing on it that were shaped like flower blossoms. You could tell that they tried to clean it (only they missed some) but they must have used a dirty mop that left hairs stuck to ceiling. Nice lodge, good location, but for $400/night, it was not worth the price. The hotel is fmaily friendly, which means that there are screaming, running, children everywhere. Up and down the halls, and since the walls and doors are paper thin, we were constantly disturbed by the noise, including their parents who would yell after them! I would not return. more

The Tenaya Lodge is a good option worth considering for Yosemite. It is outside the park, about 10 minutes drive from the South entrance and 15 minutes from beautiful Mariposa Grove. It takes about 45 minutes to reach the Valley, so if this is where you plan to spend the majority of your visit you should consider staying in one... more
